ZOS please consider allowing ing ending words + space + m starting word

I understand not wanting people to mistake GM's but they have icon and having a space should be enough since it works with hyphen.

While it is a reasonable request the rule seems to prevent a name like G M IDK.

It may be overkill on Zos’ part but we have seen in the forums there are some players that do not pay much attention and get caught by scammers.

Yeah I started letting it go but words ending with "ing" should be exclude from this rule.

ing m idk would not be something to be mistaken.

True, but since you can't capitalize a letter anywhere in a name other than at the beginning, they could just have it so that it prevents cases in which there's a G followed by an M (with or without a space) and when there aren't any letters directly in front of the G.

After all, while somebody who really isn't paying attention might get fooled into thinking that someone with a name like "G M Idk" is a GM, nobody is going to think that "Sleeping M Idk" is a GM.

That's not that hard to do using a regular expression, I wonder why they don't refine this validation.

Agreed. A first step pending any coding change might be for it to be manually implemented on receipt of a ticket requesting such a name. Do we know if that has ever been tried?
