TES-O Artefacts How LORE-breaking is that?

Hello guys,
So we got a Spell-breaker outfit style. Can you please explain me how this doesn't break the LORE?
Is that a copy? Who managed to copy a dwemer artefact of such power that even Daedric princes want to have it?
Don't get me wrong it looks cool and the idea itself is not that bad, but seeing 4 people in a row (two of them wearing evening dresses) having a Spell-breaker on their backs is... weird?

    They're not swords. They're sword-like objects.

Think of them like cheap knockoffs. They may have been crafted to look like something but they are not the genuine deal.

    Well...

Have you tried doing a preview of the shield model?

I understand it is to "break" spells but the shield is inverted. It is quite possibly one of the dumbest shield designs I have ever seen in my life. I understand we have to suspend reality but the fact is an inverted shield concentrates force onto the forearm / hand and is so completely goofy we might as well have candy-cane weapons and little anime pets. Maybe to go with it we can get cellophane armor that is transparent :)

Its just a bunch of copies. None of them have any of the actual powers the real spellbreaker does. In fact we even know that the real one is currently being carried by Zaan/ disappeared after we beat her.

Yeah, it's pretty stupid imo. ZOS stopped caring about the lore though. They say they haven't, but they still removed Bosmer stealth.
The Cyrodiil artifacts are a great way to have these weapons be wieldable but the crown store is just devaluating them so much. An Indrik is hard work at least or 200$ for the evolved form. If you had unlocked the outfit styles by picking them up in Cyrodiil, then I would have been okay with it.
Anyway they justify it by being replicas and not the real deal. Can't wait to see the spear of bitter mercy not be a spear but a staff instead.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

They're just replicas. Like the stuff that LARPers and COS players wear. Cosmetic only. Their existence has nothing to do with the Lore of TES artefacts.

@Fellwitch Have you picked up Spellbreaker in Skyrim? That shield isn't what protects you. It's the magical barrier it generates that does.

I saw 2 guys dressed as Darth Vader at a con once. It totally broke my immersion.

    Doesn't the description say it's a replica?

Think of it like the swords you can buy at conventions which are all recreations of ones from games, anime, movies, or even mythology. Or the 'pieces of the true cross' people used to sell to Christian pilgrims in medieval times.

What a lot of people seem to miss when it comes to this game is your character is the centre of the universe. All those other players are only needed to make the game a viable MMO. Nothing more, nothing less. So whilst you may see 101 other guys walking around with that particular shield, it may be immersion breaking, but it's not lore breaking.

Those other players aren't part of your story. After all, that would mean millions have defeated Molag Big Baws in your universe too.

I like to think of them as replicas, like in the beginning of the fighters guild questline you pick up a carved/replica of Molag’s mace or something like that

It did look more like a normal shield in prwvious games.

    ESO (exactly like Skyrim one):

Anyway, in Skyrim it had this forcefield thingy. The replica one technically doesn't have that but you get this ward thingy in ESO when blocking anyway so it's ok I guess.
