Increase the Forum Ignore List Limit

Currently you can only ignore 12 people on the forums. We all know at least 4 times that many people who need to be muted at all times. So when someone new annoys and won't shut up about their petty point, you can't just hit ignore and move on, you have to edit your profile, remove whoever's listed there who hasn't posted recently, add the new jerk.

Please, ZOS. Just upgrade this to 100, like it is in-game.

Another way to ignore them is to just not read their comments/posts.

You can ignore people? How do you do that? I’ve been asking for this feature for a while but I didn’t know we already had it.

How do you know the old people on your list haven't posted if they're on the list?

Or you could just act like an adult and just ignore them without putting them on a list.

Click on their profile and then there is a drop-down menu next to the "messages" box

Generally anyone named xxxlegolasxxx or a number after their name (cough) is just going to spam for a few months and then go away. If I have to, I'll look thru the dozen profiles and see when they were last active.

Paging through hundreds of quoted lines of crap in order to reach non-crap posts is annoying, it's not just "skip it if you don't like it".

I think some people should stop to play online as how many people they want add to ignore because theyr are that easily offened etc or have just tha problems with others and their opinions

Oh are you one of those people who gets angry or upset if someone says something you disagree with? I don't think increasing it to 100 would do much, you would soon reach the cap again most likely.

Guess I never faced this problem as for my 16 years long life on various forum sites and after few hundred thousand posts (few hundred heated debates), I never added a single person in my ignore list.

I was once fighting (debating would be poor choice of word) with one of biggest internet board's entire admin team in full public view in 2004 or 05, admin created a hyperlink specifically for me and asked me to click on it, which would log me out and almost everyone other than me clicked on that. Guess those were the days. Nobody use to add another in ignore list, though that function was available on vbulletin.

Well though I was not much active on those boards in last few years, two of main ones closed few months back. Social media could never be even 10% fun of what big boards use to be at their peak. Social media is just for show off/political propaganda, I saw real fun and creativity on those boards.

There are a few people on these forums that have made me cringe so many times, but I have not put anyone on an ignore list.

Why? Because at the end of the day, I don't want to hide away from opinions I don't like. I want to be intellectually honest to myself. I don't want to live in an echo chamber, only seeing the things that match my opinion.

That's why I don't respect people who shut down debate or hide in "safe spaces"
