Radiant aura bugged or working correctly?

Greetings - is this working or not working or is it ambiguous because I really do not see it returning magicka properly.


Skill description
Champion the cause of divine glory to apply Minor Magickasteal to all enemies around you for 15 seconds, causing you and your allies to restore 300 Magicka every 1 seconds when damaging them. While slotted, you gain Minor fortitude, Minor Endurance, and Minor Intellect, increasing Health, Stamina, and Magicka Recovery by 10%.

For example, let's say I drop spears on a pack of 5 mobs that I have magicka steal on. Instead of receiving back 5×300 magicka per second, I think I am getting 300.

So once you factor in the cost of the ability you are getting a few hundred magicka back but have already used most of that, that could have been better utilized on a different ability.

Does lifesteal work the same way? If so then it is definitely weak-sauce. Probably only the initial heal from living trellis when you get hit is what I notice there, and it just adds 600 to whatever value I heal for.

So, to summarize, I am probably better off using repentance and then the mag restore version of rune focus instead...

@Fellwitch This is intended. There is a global cool down on those returns as far as i'm aware, so no matter how many mobs you hit with minor magicka steal or minor life steal, you can't restore that many resources per second. It is the same with ele drain; you are limited to 300 mag return per second, regardless of how many targets you hit with the debuff. And to answer your question, yes run the rune focus and elemental drain from the destro skill line. Way better sustain if you are having difficulty doing things solo.

yes intended. You are applying a named debuff for the target.
It's largely why the ability sucks.

Radiant aura is pretty useless currently. It definitely needs a cost reduction or remove the cost altogether to put it on par with ele drain. Adding a secondary buff for the just the templar would be nice too like.... oh I dont know, major sorcery!
