What ZOS has been unable to fix in 5 years?

I create this poll to make ZOS understand there are some things that do not work properly in the game, i personally believe that they are working well in class balancing and elimination of lag (even if very slowly); while the group finder for Dungeons or BG still with so many problems and also the lack of a division between pvp and pve involves some annoying aspects during the game (like meeting pve players in BG or meeting healer pvp in dlc dungeons vet). I hope this poll can help them, hello everyone.

my biggest problem is they've never been able to fix their approach to game balance. they're so religiously dedicated to this idea that pve and pvp need to maintain the same balance (even though there already is discrepancies in how both sides are balanced anyway BUT LET'S IGNORE THAT RIGHT) and it's just never worked, nor will it ever.

Lag isn't always a massive issues. It's an issue when a lot of people are playing, I mean these massive battles with at least 40 players.

However the dungeon finder has been a problem that's come and gone. Sometimes it's been fine, other times it's been like completely broken. This week the dungeon finder has been a bit....wonky. Worked sometimes, and not worked other times. Just the other day I queued as a tank, I was in queue for like 30min (which is weird when going as a tank) I left the queue for a short moment afk. Queued again and poof, not 1min later it dinged and I was going into a dungeon.

Dungeon finder is trying, it's under a heavy strain. Poor thing.

ZOS has been unable to fix a player base that fundamentally doesn't remember how much worse ESO used to be as a game. Even before the Class/Combat Reps existed the game was massively improved from launch just on combat experience and balance. The game used to be even laggier in open world PVE than it is now and much buggier.

I know it is contentious but I'd argue that every patch released by ZOS has made the game better either functionally or in design. Morrrowind nerfs included which long term were a needed reset.Also, the design philosophy of having skills cost resources so you can calibrate the effects to the amount of resources used is much better than the infinite sustain design philosophy. You can only really change the damage numbers there.

The Morrowind patch was the kind of massive reset we need right now with power creep as out of control as it is. Whenever the word "nerf" isn't in the title there seems to be a general consensus that ESO has experienced significant power creep and that power creep is making both PVE and PVP ultimately worse.

So give unto nerfs to us, unworthy and ungrateful wretches that we are, even though we will not thank you. Even though many of us will hate you and constantly flame and attack you. Even though we will not reward you for saving us from ourselves. We will at least thank you in the end by being paying customers even as we whine in the forums about the glory days of *insert broken and poorly designed build/gameplay here*.

Why is it so hard to let people stay in the dungeon after the final boss goes down? WoW does it, if you leave the group before the final boss dies it kicks you out, if the final boss is dead the last person in the dungeon can roam around all they like and leave when they want. The problem with ESO is the grandiose scale of some of the dungeon quests is locked behind a wall of text and NPC roleplaying which you can't skip and have to sit through before you can complete.

If we are talking 5 years, since launch, then Group Finder should not be on that list by any measure. Group finder works a 1000 times better than it did at launch.

I used GF for vet dungeons starting within a month of the game launching. You had to choose one specific dungeon and when the system could put two players together for that vet dungeon it did. No noticed was given, you just were placed in a group.

Often that group was probably 2 dps. What I saw most, since I healed, was a dps and a healer. We then either just dropped or starting looking for the people to fill the group.

In other words, GF was totally useless. It seemed more like a failed project of a high school student that part of a professional product. That, an how long it took Zos to finally begin addressing It was the biggest sign of idiotic manner this game was managed leading up to launch and since that fateful day.

So anyone voting for GF was either not around 5 years ago or never used it because they clearly do not know.

And this is true as well, except the lag. Zos actually made that worse as they added more load to the servers.

I think OP was just on a rage and created this instead of a confusing rant.

Who cares about balance, group finder or pve/pvp. Those things are broken, not perfect or not working as intended but the game is still a fun game.

However the lag ruins the whole eso experience.. pressing a button and seeing nothing will happen for a few second is the worst thing. If they could only fix the lag eso would be so much better already.

It has ALWAYS been useless, especially in PvP. It never seems to work unless you try it 3-4 times, wasting tons of time and magicka. Either the area of effect is way too small (and narrow), or it's just plain buggy.

Sorcerers have been complaining about Encase since 2014, and ZOS has yet to even acknowledge the problem!

@todokete no, but that's why the guild bank doesn't autostack the same items. The "fix" for the dupe was to not allow auto stacking....
