Crafting Writs

CystemUnus
Good Evening.

I just finished a crafting writ for alchemy: create a sip of ravage stamina. I've done this twice now don't if that's the problem. I received crafting items but do you get a lootbox? I had opened one yesterday but no idea where I got one.

Another problem I'm having is not being able to do other crafting writs. I think it's because I haven't done the licences for those crafts yet in Vivec City?

Cheers!

    1) Each character must be certified in the seven crafting disciplines. Jeweler is outside the crafting hall in Alinor. The other six crafts are split between two trainers in Daggerfall, Vukhel Guard, Davon's Watch, or Vivec City.

    2) You will receive a Jubilee Box when each crafting writ is turned in to the delivery depot. Jubilee Boxes are awarded once per day per delivered writ per character. Reset is 2:00am EST (US)

Note: another thread reports that certain add-ons for crafting writs will automatically empty the Jubilee Box. The effect is that you will receive the contents of the Jubilee Box, but due to the operation of the add-on, you will not actually see the Jubilee Box.

you have to either go to Vivec City, or to your faction starting city. the crafter for consumables is Telleno and he is in mage guild. Milenith is the certifier for gear and she is inside or near fighters guild. in Vivec city, they are both hanging out by the bank.

you do NOT need to be lvl 6 to get certified. you DO need to be level 6 once you are certified, before you can pick up daily writs.

if you create a character now, and make sure you eat xp cake before you start certification process? it will be enough to get you to almost lvl 7.

oh last but not least, JC certifier is in Alinor city. and if you did partial certification, but didn't finish quests, Telleno and Milenith go back to their default starting locations.

@Linaleah: actually neither Danel Teleno nor Millenith are near the bank in Vivec UNLESS you have already spoken to one of them and accepted one of the cert quests while they are in either Mages or Fighters guild halls.

I usually hit Danel because his chest is right there, you can forward the quest after getting the recipe, and after you cook it, he AND Millenith are near the bank.

Actually it's annoying to have to run around through St Delyn to start it. Sheesh. Just put them by the bank to begin with damn it!

Have you started the quests with the trainers?

One trainer will certify you for Alchemy, Enchanting, and Provisioning. The other will certify you in Blacksmithing, Clothing, and Woodworking. The trainer for Jewelry is in Alinor so you need to have the Summerset chapter for that.

Each of the two main trainers will send you on little quests for each crafting skill line where you have to acquire the right materials to craft a particular item.

When you start out one trainer is in the Mages Guild and the other is in the Fighters Guild, but after your first interaction with them they'll move to a location near the crafting stations (at least this is true for the two trainers in Vivec City).

You must be sure to return to them after each step in the quest, so they'll acknowledge your progress and give you the next step in the certification process. If you try to skip ahead by going directly to the crafting station and crafting the requested item before you go back to them, they won't acknowledge that you've acquired the specified materials and won't give you credit for having crafted the assigned item. If that happens, just go get the necessary materials again and be sure to go back to them so they can acknowledge your progress.

oh, jeesh, i didn't know that, sorry about misinformation. to be honest i only found out that they are there, AFTER certifying my last alt in their alliance town. certification system is not at all intuitive in this game. like... JC guy is not even there in Alinor until after you learn about certifications. although, if I remember correctly, I think there are breadcrumb quests that show up on writ boards at lvl 6? i just tend to do certifications before that.
