The new music boxes are gorgeous, the ZOS team has done a great job on these!
But what a shame that they are only in store for a limited time. It would be great to have these added permanently to the crown store, so that we can buy them at any time for our homes or future homes.

Jaeysa✭✭✭✭✭Agree - also as a note, them being in for so short a time means I'm VERY unlikely to get them. I'm not working on a house that can use them at the moment. The one time I bought the old music box it was for a very specific project at least a month after it had been added to the store.PC/NA: Primarily Daggerfall Covenant.

Yep, agreed. I bought one of each because I can use them for specific projects at the moment..however predicting future projects is too difficult and who has the space to store extras anyway? I'm sure that ZOS would get a lot more sales overall if they were permanently available for sale and we could purchase them as required.1 -

They could start a new listing folder just for music boxes, under the housing things in crown store.

If I put a second one inside the house, will you hear the music everywhere inside (at the same volume)?And if the dam breaks open many years too soon

If the courtyard is behind a door, then no, you won't hear the music box inside the house.
Example: I have a music box in my Velothi Reverie. It can be heard in the whole interior part of the house, but the courtyard is separate, therefore, it is not be heard there. This bave me the opportunty to place a second, different, music box in the courtyard.
The volume seems to go down a bit with distance. When I placed the box in the Grand Psijic Villa exterior (near the spawn spot), I was able to reach a point where I couldn't hear the music anymore.
You can have multiple different music boxes playing at once, and the melodies are mixed together. I do not have more of a single type, so I cannot test what happens if you place more than one with the same melody in the same house.Member of Alith Legion: https://www.alithlegion.com1 -

But the problem is, no matter how much I want something I'm not dumb enough to forgo paying my rent or bills to buy an imaginary object if I just don't have the funds in that moment.
