For the last week, I’ve been progressing vCR with my trials group. I am a Warden healer. We are now consistently getting z’Maja’s health down. It was at 8% last night. How brutal is the execute phase? Do we have another big obstacle to climb before completion or is the end in sight? The tales of horror have been making me nervous. Lol.

Have you tried adding Santuary in group? Both morphs of blood atlar.

Positioning is key in the execute phase. Make sure that everybody knows exactly where to stand when the boss spawns in the middle.
5 (4 dds + healer) left, 5 (4 dds + healer) right behind the boss, 1 tank far behind the boss to kite crushing, main tank in front of the boss.
Somebody should drop a blood altar for the main tank since he needs to be healed to 100% hp as fast as possible when he gets the debuff.
Orbs and Creepers are priority and need to be focused by either the left or right group.
Don't forget to always kill the shadows first if someone dies.
Let the second tank know if the maintank is about to die, so he can take over the boss without more deaths. Then a healer needs to kite crushing behind the boss.

I guess vCR+0, there the biggest challenge will probably keeping the tank alive after a mark (and that is your job :P ).
It helps if the whole group is stacked at the Shadow Z'maja (usually you have a triangle between MT, left group with one heal, right group with one heal. Everybody focuses orbs and creepers (and shadows if you get some after a death). Stay in those positions unless the creeper is really really far away, and even then only go as far as absolutely necessary.
    How it usually works:
    - one OT kiting in the back (boring job)
    - 2 groups, one containing the other OT, doing their usual thing
    - 1 MT
You probably know the spider debuff by know, where the OT needs a ton of heals. Well that debuff gets applied to basically everybody apart from the kiter. So healing is key, but positioning just as much to make effective healing possible (a.k.a hit everybody with springs). Important things:
    - Your MT needs a blood altar for that moment. Period. Who provides it is not too important.
    - There are addons by now that can tell you when the next mark comes I think (Open Glaza?). Or you do it by intuitional timing. Try to provide an Orb as well to your Tank for that moment, spamming orbs 2-3 seconds prior to that moment also greatly healps the group with all those synergy pops that heal everybody (but the altar is still more essential to be up)
    - As you see, you can do a lot with synergies in that moment. Therefore many MTs in CR run Harmony jewlery
    - You will spam heals a lot. As the mark cd is different from the earthgore cd, Bogdan monster set is your friend

EDIT: as mentioned, everbody kills the mini stuff doesn't mean that you leave your position if the other group is range for e.g. a creeper. If there isn't serious trouble, you can afford the extra 5 seconds it will take them to kill it on their own

It helps if the main tank has harmony jewelry on. Blood altars are going to be a huge factor, and that synergy will save everyone's life. All support roles should be running overflowing altar and, for good measure, it needs to be refreshed after every baneful.

I successfully main tanked it tonight for the first time, and it can be very stressful lol. When baneful hit, I popped fragmented/igneous shield, dragons blood, blood feast synergy, and was good to go. It's really busy getting baneful while having to kite crushing or having to block a heavy attack soon after, so make sure to focus heavy heals during those phases. Sanctuary is also a literal life saver.

Thanks for the replies and apologies for the delayed response, I was called way for work just after I posted. I am wearing Sanctuary and Olorime with Earthgore. I’ve also been using Overflowing Altar. I am going to try out some of the suggestions. I really appreciate the feedback :)

Ask your tank to use x3 Harmony jewelry. Make sure to have Overflowing Altar and give him Bone Surge as soon as debuff goes out. Your tank should also drop his health as low as he can, I prefer to use Max Stamina + Max Magicka food for that purpose, just swapping to that before execute so I don't have to tank with low health all the way through. If you follow these, your tank will go back to full health in less than 2 seconds.

As others said, keeping the tank alive is the most important in Cloudrest execute, rest is just movement/positioning and focusing mechanics. Good luck ^^

Thanks for the advice. I will have to level up Bone Shield before tonight’s run :)
