Do people here work for free?

Im sick of reading here the term p2w wrongly used.

NO. Buying skyshards(HAVING TO HAVE DISCOVERED THEM FIRST WITH ONE ALT) is NOT pay to win.

When eventually (I hope soon) they release guild skill lines (HAVING TO HAVE THEM COMPLETED WITH ONE ALT) is not p2w.

It is convenience. YOU CAN BUY IT OR NOT. And it will not make you a better player. It will make people that can't play 24/7 and have a life.... enjoy the game not having to grind stupidly the whole thing again. How someone can feel like a god having to grind again is beyond me.

P2W is a concept that doesn't match what ZOS is gonna do.

And even if it was....what do you think is ZOS? Your parents? Its a company wanting to make profit and pay the bills. This is the world we live in. There are a lot more horrible and ugly companies out there. Zos is not one of them by doing this.

FOR EXAMPLE...and this is something I and many people think...ESO has delayed TESVI. And it is all because of the profit/milking a franchise. I would burn the whole ESO thing just to have TESVI and I would have prefered that ESO would never exist.

And now many people here complaining for this stupid thing regarding buying skyshards and guild skill lines. That same people praying for a TES mmo for years...what do you think a mmo is?? A big part of them are the cash shops. At least they are doing this in a decent way. Even the bank space/eso plus combo is FAR worst.

Cmon...as if you work for free or smt. They need to make money...if not there will be no more content.

Is better for you. Just dont pay and grind like a mad again and let the others pay the next dlc or chapter.

Or just leave and look for other games as fair as ESO with this(good luck).

Then you want new content...better graphics...better music...better servers...more ginas, more Firors...(well not sure about this one)....

I mean...they have to pay the bills too.

And you are NOT FORCED TO BUY IT.

Yup. I do volunteer work both as a representative of my company and with my wife as a personal endeavor.

This answer is as irrelevant to your rant, which is because your title and premise aren’t aligned with the point you’re trying to make.

There is a broad misunderstanding of relationship with ZoS which many share here. ZoS, and the admins, are not your friends. They're business people and will try anything to exploit your consumerism habits. No matter how "cool" and "friendly" they talk, they're not your friends. It's not about Skyshard4Crowns being p2w, you parrot, it's about displaying distaste against the upcoming business practices(monetizing QoL patches) in a heavily monetized B2P game.

It is what it is. Take it or leave it. It won't change. Believe me I was one of those since the oblivion dlcs.

What Im trying to say is that from the whole pack of "p2w" or monetized and existing things on ESO/other games I think this one is one of the least aggresive.

And if is not about p2w,parrot,what are all those topics saying skyshards4crowns is p2w.

I don't care anymore if it changes or not, I am gone as soon as my ESO+ expires. Besides, you're still on the "P2W" issue like a broken record.

Well not that I care much either. I mean...ESO could close servers tomorrow. I just wanna TESVI but it wont be here until 2025 or so...I come to ESO and leave usually.

If you care so little for the game, why are you here?

Allow me summarize the OP post.
RAGE, Rage, rage and more rage.

It amuses me how so many want to define P2W for others. P2W is at best a nebulous phrase such that these kinds of forum debates are inevitable.

I do think this change amounts to a P2W process albeit a minor one overall.

However I also support ZEN monetizing game elements becuase they are a business that needs profits to support the games I play.

Hey I care but not that much. Im here since beta days and I have had tons of fun but I dont agree with people saying skyshards or guild skill lines for crowns are p2w.

I have gotten all the alliance base skyshards on 15 characters.

I enjoy pvp in Cyrodiil but those base skyshards can be a pain to get during prime time when I can actually play because I work during the day and sleep during oceanic time when the gates have a better chance to be opened.

I will most likely buy the Cyrodill skyshard pack to avoid waiting for my alliance to open the gates on the one or two new characters I plan on making.

I've already done it 15 times. Buying 1.5 skillpoints will never be pay to win because 1.5 skyshards are insignificant. Paying for convenience, sure. Pay to win, no freaking way.

I have to state once again.

Many people are fine with paying for a product and a company making money. They're just not fine with companies doing underhanded tactics, double dips and monetising things which should be QoL changes.
