That's why it's called a "unicorn" and sold during the Jester's Festival.

On the plus side it won't kill you for drawing a weapon, like Oblivion's unicorn would.

When this first came out it was pointed out that it is a horse in armor. If you google "chanfron", you'll see ZOS weren't the first people to get the idea of making a "unicorn".

If it were a real Unicorn I might consider buying it but it's just another horse in armor, so pass. I like the way the mane looks but that's not enough to add it to my already-got-too-many-horses collection LOL.

Technically there usually aren't unicorns in Tamriel. They're native to Hircine's plane of Oblivion and he occasionally brings them to Tamriel (and possibly other places on Nirn) for special hunts. That's what the one in Oblivion was for - you were supposed to hunt and kill it as part of Hircine's quest.

So it's entirely possible a real unicorn could show up in ESO at some point, but it's highly unlikely to be a mount and would be pretty impractical if it was because, as @VaranisArano said the one in Oblivion is a bit of a psychotic pacifist and will attack anyone who draws a weapon near it, including the player.

As much as it pains me to agree. (IRL I practice what my doctor described as a cult-like worship of unicorns. No, I am not making this up. My room is literally a shrine.)

I had to have the unicorn mount, since I really like unicorns. I'm ok with it being fake; I actually thought how they did it was pretty clever. HOWEVER, I really wanted it to be a pretty horse. I'd love it like the sparkle horse, only white with flowers and ribbons in its mane and tail and shimmering.

The Snow-Blanket Sorrel Horse is really pretty, it has this Oblivion feel to it and really detailed texture. I'm not a fan of horses in this game but I love this one.
