Idea: Portable Deconstructing Assistant.

Add an option to buy a deconstructing assistant. Just like the merchant and banker.

Yeah that would be something I'd totally support. Imo way overdue anyways.

Not sure how they could implement that with the current crafting system, but I like the idea!

I love this idea! A huge Nord with goggles on and a massive contraption on his back with a top like a woodchipper that you would conceptually be dropping items in.

I would say that would be an interesting idea.

You are out in the middle of nowhere and need to deconstruct a lot of stuff. To make it more reasonable have it be an imp that shows up in a portal, takes the bag of items you hand them and darts back into the portal. After a few seconds he comes back with another bag that he dumps on the ground in front of you and keeps doing that until done. When you are finished you bend over and gather the pile of items and head on your way.

That way the animation while working is fun and not just standing there idle.

That way you have a portal to somewhere the imp is going to break down stuff.

Problem is, how to discount it. With these convenience assistants, either its reduced functionality, or a 30% discount. You know that there would be a discount on returned mats, but since most of us are getting one of each type, ingot or wood etc, and one style mat how would the game system give you back a fraction.

Also, would it be one assistant for all crafts? That would not make any sense. Then again, who would want to cycle through at least 5 of these.

This is one of those good ideas that would not get implemented in a good way.

Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Buy a house.

    Install some crafting stations.

You can teleport to them instantly for free at any time.

But you can't teleport back to the same spot.

A shredded yet dreamy Nord with a fantastic voice actor. I see what you did there..you had me with "Nord"! 🤣

This is something I’ve always wanted, but I would like for it to include an enchanting station to deconstruct the white glyphs we get. And you know, it was literally YEARS before I realized that instead of going to a town you can just stop by one of the many overland set stations to deconstruct things quickly. I just wish each one had an enchanting station 🙂

I like to picture what they'd look and sound like. What about a banekin, with little monocle and tools, and with the voice from Darkest Dungeon.

Sometimes you just need to stop what you are doing and go to town to deconstruct and sell and bank. It's not that hard to get back to where you left off.

So you offering to buy everyone an inventory upgrade?!? :p If you have limited inventory space, you'd be spending ALL your time running back and forth to town. For myself, I'm carrying several armor sets so I can switch depending on my situation- I have sets for open world, sets for dungeons, sets for World Bosses... so even with a fully maxed inventory it's not that difficult to fill it up quickly. Since I use AlphaGear to switch my gear sets on the fly, I don't have to stop, dismiss my Companion, open banker, remove gear... sometimes by that time the WB or dolmen, whatever is already finished. So yes, it's a choice between high inventory and ease of switching sets. Even so, having a portable DECON assistant would be greatly appreciated.

Guild store would be awesome... repair merchant would only be useful in VET dungeons that you keep dying a lot in. Honestly, you can run your gear down pretty low before it becomes a problem... I don't even remember the last time I ever used a repair kit. Usually I come across a wandering merchant out in the world before I'm even down to 90% on my gear.

Everyone has limited inventory space, aside from the crafting bag for ESO+. I've never had to stop in the middle of anything to deconstruct or sell or bank. Just clear your bags before you go out.

My main carries several sets of gear. I also tend to run out of inventory space quick. I try to pay attention and make a trip to town when I am at a wayshrine. If I find myself in a delve or dungeon and am out of inventory space I get out my trusty banker and put stuff in there to be deconstructed later. This does mean I have to plan ahead and have some bank space open.

I don't want a deconstruction assistant. I don't want the banker and merchant to have more functions than they already have. Players need a reason to visit towns so those towns appear populated. Having to head to town from time to time to take care of business is and should remain a part of the game.

I used to drop everything onto my banker and then decon when I went back to town. If I was somewhere like the sewers I would would email stuff to my alt account and wait for it to RTS.
Which is not saying that a decon merchant wouldn't be useful... if it had an associated cost though, like the TG merchant, I wouldn't use it.
