Deadra Damage Glyph

Does anyone know if the Deadra Damage Glyph is working "smart"? If for example one humanoid and one vampire stand in your Blockade, does it try to hit the humanoid, fail and wait a whole enchantment cicle?

    The enchantment will only tick on the closest enemy from which the blockade started

    but it cant tick on humanoids. So does it just do nothing till a vamp is closest

    It'll proc on the closest applicable target, if none are in the dot then it simply won't proc
