earning in game crowns

do you think there should be a way to earn crowns in game, other then just buying them or being a sub?

I always had an idea that for every main quest you do, you get 100 crowns

I really like the way Fallout 76 handled it.

Little daily challenges to get you logging in and doing something and a premium currency as a reward. I find this much more engaging than ESO's daily log-ins.
The negative of this system though is for people who feel FOMO badly like me will be getting on and grinding challenges rather than playing events. Which I guess from a marketing stance is wonderful

Less sales, less income, lower bottom line.

If I were in ZOS' accounting department I'd have laughed my behind off at someone suggesting this, even if as a player I think it'd be great.

Of course they will. I got a few just from the top of my head:
- "It'll drive up prices in CS even more!"
- "Millenials and Crown Crybabies want stuff for free again!"
- "People at ZOS need their millions of $ to feed their children!"
- "It's just cosmetic stuff! Why do you care!?"

Id like to see a system that rewarded people crowns for completing their daily dungeon or daily battleground, as well as small amounts for completing main story quests or certain acheivements.

Hmmm then zeni can add p2w items to the crown store and be like "you can get crowns by playing the game, ergo it's not p2w". But probably you would have to complete like 100 dailies or so to get just 1k crowns, so it would still be p2w.

OR they will just use this as an excuse to further inflate crown store prices. Mounts going for 7,5k each or something like that.

Joking aside people should just stop worrying about the crown store and care more about the abysmal state of the game.

And significantly drop the crown to gold exchange rate? No, thank you. Instead of doing mundane things to earn gold you can make millions in like 10 minutes just selling crowns.

I do think there should be, but if crowns just cost less many would likely buy more. I do buy sometimes if I can spare the cash but often I don't feel I'm getting my money's worth tbh so I chose to pass way, way more often than to buy.

Yeah It would be nice. The fact that they removed free crates from login rewards tells me it will probably never happen though.

No to mention, IMHO, bot runners will find a way to screw the system even more (it will be a too juicy piece of game pie for them to ignore). No, crowns should stay in the crown store - also less temptation to search (and eventually find, no system is perfect) for exploits.
