Being upset for it is a bit much.

Dont really see your logic, but hey, to each their own.

Yeah, I'm upset/disappointed lol. As you would be if say, for example, x was coming out and there was this one aspect to x you really liked. But they changed the part of x you really liked before release.

I mean, unless you're just one of those people that doesn't get hyped for anything ever then I'd say its reasonable for those that were looking forward to this skill to be displeased with the change.

You must be new to the gaming industry if you think anyone is worthy of your hype... Btw, never pre-purchase anything.

And if you do t know what I'm talking about, let me tell you: FO76, ESO(yes, ESO sucked balls hard), FO4, every major assassin's Creed since the one after black flag, mafia 3, the crew, the division, every EA game since bf4, what else...? Fable! Oh, fable...

I mean... Those are just from the top of my head. Hype is for the weak minded that are driven by marketing campaigns.

If you're upset, that's your own fault. Development of games isn't a woe free business, and you should know that. Unless you're 12, in which case I'll forgive you for now knowing better

A bone dragon sound a thousand times cooler than a flesh colossus.

Your logic makes no sense because you want to know /why/ ESO got better back when it was released? Because people were upset and disappointed with how the game turned out. I've been playing games for over 10 years and speak for yourself when you say hype is for the week minded. Hype fuels games and its something that can't be stopped. People get excited over things they can't wait to do/play, I'm sorry you don't have that basic human function. Basically what you're saying is that me being upset because I was excited for something that isnt happening anymore is my own fault and honestly it kinda makes you look like an ass lol. Guess the only way to solve this is to never be excited about anything ever again and just be depressed all the time, eh?

I don't work in extremes, being "upset and disappointed" isn't extreme. Im just going off of what YOU are saying. If anyone is being extreme, actually, it is you I'm afraid since being disappointed over something you were excited for is such an unknown concept to you and apparently its the other person's fault for being excited in the first place. Its like being happy to ride down a slide at the park only to find that it was torn down, so /naturally/ you'd be reasonably disappointed/upset, but with your logic its your fault for even being excited to ride down the slide in the first place.

    Have a nice day.

I like the idea of the bone dragon better but there must have been issues with making it work, probably in tight spaces. The flesh antronach does kinda make more sense but it doesn't look as cool by a long shot. Ah well. It is what it is.

So no, raising undead dragons on a whim is not something your run-of-the mill necromancer should be able to do. And even the more powerful ones, except if you dedicated your life to it. No time to farm vHRC, though, better decipher dusty old books during your playtime.

I think the difficulty in raising a dragon stems from the difficulty of FINDING a dragon skeleton in the first place, and putting it back together.
Playing your character the way your character should play is all that matters. Play as well as you can but never betray the character. Doing so would make playing an mmoRPG pointless.

I for one am glad not to repeat the Vvardenfell-skin Warden skills that look entirely out of place in the base game

We did not need dragon summons. Dragons are still not common enough everyone would have dragons coming out their ears and taking it to base game areas would look stupid. Universally applicable forms are a much better choice

Most likely because all these none dragon summons would have been a mess. Imagine 6 dragons summoned in the same spot. It would look like a mess.

I think the difficulty in raising a dragon stems from the difficulty of FINDING a dragon skeleton in the first place, and putting it back together.

Orryn subdued the original dragonslayer party, raised quite a lot of other stuff in the meantime, and gathered a (rather numerous) cult. If it were just about finding it, he could've raised it much earlier. Having an actual undead dragon to show off will draw quite a bit more people to your sinister conquer-the-world-with-an-undead-dragon cult than promising that you're trying really really hard to get one, eventually.

Okay, putting it back together, but the pile of bones should've been lying there more or less intact. I mean, if every bone has to be in an anatomically correct place, then necromancers assembling constructs from blown-up or slightly older corpses have a huge problem at their hands. They should include a puzzle minigame for that. ;D

I mean, yeah. Im quite certain no one wants it to rekt everything around them....its all about the theme. The bone dragon would be the same strength as the flesh atronach we presently have.......? You need to not look into lore that deep lol.

Meh, people will get over it with time. It's just a cosmetic change if the damage is the same. Doesn't affect QoL or gameplay, or prevents progress in any way. It's not even a pve/pvp-gated issue. Just get a bone dragon pet and there you go to help immersion.

Flesh Colossus is the obvious choice for a Necromancer. Necromancers do not have a history with dragons, so it makes little sense for a necromancer to summon a dead dragon. In fact, player necromancers should not summon dragons. That's a job for a dragon priest.

I preferred the aesthetic of the bone dragon, but I'll take the Flesh atro. My guess is there was some technical issue (rather than a lore one, lore is mutable) and it was hard to animate, or was bugging out somehow so they said 'balls to it, stick a flesh atronach in instead'. I could be very wrong ofc, but that's the only reason I can think of for them changing it. I guess it might also look pretty out of place in base game areas...
