Is wings worth using at all on a stamdk?

Yes if you have magicka to use it.
for me it is like cloak on a stamblade or purge on stamtemp or ice fortress on a stamwarden.

Its allows you to run rally in heavy and also makes sure you don't explode to death in medium (and also saves you from running that piece of dung called shuffle)

Have to drop igneous shield to be able to sustain it so no imo.

I use wings on a heavy StamDK in BGs -- it's a great pressure and escape tool imo. I personally prefer it over Fragmented Shield since it gives me a nice advantage over most magicka builds, snipe spammers, and stam builds that run bow on the back bar for Poison Injection and Draining Shot (mostly Stam Sorcs). I only switch out to Fragmented Shield when I know I've got melee opponents that are giving me trouble, but it's usually never my first choice.

In no cp and bgs i'd use both wings and igneous and wear shackle to sustain it but i would keep forward momentum but wings as a snare removal is not sustainable, in cp pvp igneous > wings and shackle is not worth running over something like fury or 7th unless you want to be a cheeselord vs mag classes in duels.

People love using as hard counters to as few specs as possible and primarily attempting to fight the 2 people an hour they meet like that. So just make sure you can sustain full wing uptime, slot 800 detect pots and fight the real menace of Cyrodiil which are solo magblades.

I don't slot wings on any of my DKs. Still not worth it to me.

Only use it open world, youre always outnumbered so relieving pressure can help.

I don't play my stam DK much anymore, but used to always run wings on my medium armor build. Today would be no exception, as my playstyle invariably combines speed with flapping wings as a defense mechanism. At least on medium armor. A heavy armor 1H+S blocking-focused build would be different.

You want to have 1K mag regen. I used various combinations of drinks, Shacklebreaker and the Atro mundus in the past. Since the arrival of transmutation I would probably forgo the mag regen and wear Prisoner jewelry and back bar weapon, e.g. flap wings and sprint.

Absolutely for the snare removal alone. Frees you up to run rally instead of forward momentum.
