Does Tharn remember you from the main storyline?

Yes, he says maybe few insignificant lines in whole quest :/ I remember him too, and I don't want to work with him...

I really liked the room with frescoes (?) before the boss fight in last quest - very mysterious, I spent some time there taking screenshots <3 There was also curious book in that room (a detailed story of the khajiiti hero "part 1") - I really want to read "part 2" of the story and I hope it will be available in Elsweyr :)

The tomb itself with all the carvings was indeed very awesome! Amazing piece of art from Zos.

I just didn’t like meeting the Khajiit and immediately loading inside the delve to find Tharn and spilling the beans to him. No option to conceal her plan, just blabbed it to him.

I like how Tharn claims to be smart but he can't figure out what the Wrathstone is for when it has a dragon head on the stone itself.

Would have become tedious infact if it wasnt sooooooo straight forward

Gameplay wise it was dull, however the aesthetics and dressing up of them was great

The wall engravings and statues look absolutely gorgeous, and the voice acting was great as usual, even if the writing itself left much to be desired.

Even that vague “go to your alliance starter city” could have been worded so much better to fit with Tharn’s who-cares attitude

“Find one of my couriers under whatever banner has your attention these days. Just follow all the other patriotic, painfully naive recruits and I’m sure you’ll stumble on the messenger eventually. Try not to keep me waiting.”

And then he’d portal into wherever you talk to some NPC because seriously, Tharn was just waiting in town for us to eventually come by? He’s not that considerate

If I may offer a different opinion, in the truest of internet forms 'the long rant', although visually stunning, this prologue was beyond lazy and poorly written:
    - Abnur's replies to the PC were formulaic. We ask a question , he replies with an arrogant and witty remark. Three times over
    - The triangulates (honestly, I love the exchange Abnur has with the PC about the word) are just like... There. In a delve next to the town of where the story singers or whatever are. Three times lucky!
    - the other NPC questions his motivations (every ... Single... Time), Abnur's replies with an arrogant and witty remark about his sister (every... Single... Time...). A nice joke ruined by excessive dead horse flogging.
    - Abnur can't find cat NPC. Why? Deus Ex Machina family heirloom that stumps one of the greatest mages currently in Tameriel, that's why.
    - Abnur at one point gets all uppity about necromancy. Why? At one point in the main quest we have to create a flesh atro to which he replies an euhtusiastic "we'll make a necromancer out of you yet"
    - why am I forced to trust this guy on the first place following all that happened in the main quest. He literally asks "hey, wanna go help find a weapon of mass destruction" and we go "Sure!". This character put in zero redemption effort following the main quest.
    - on three different occasions Abnur's replies the exact same thing. Not the same thing said in a different way, but the exact same audio file
    - choices in ESO are notorious for being inconsequential. This one takes the cake. It changes absolutely nothing - everything happens just the same. I suppose it might be providing zos with a data point to do a psychological profile of its user base or something? Maybe it matters down the line? Dare I hope that it means more than two different dialogue lines from cat NPC in the actual zone quest?
    - The ending of the first trailer shows cat NPC trying to stop Abnur from using the wrathstones. That is not what we see in the prologue
    - the puzzle is visually nice, but it is the same old push things in a sequence and it is repeated three times over. Heaven forbid we get off the theme park rails and put some actual effort here.

But hey, dragons right? Who cares about a bunch of words and game mechanics. The important thing is that we get to cash in on Skyrim nostalgia and synergize nicely into game of thrones popular interest, while dusting off a familiar face (remember, new is risky, new is bad) for another go.

I enjoyed this. It piqued my interest for Elsweyr. And it is visually impressive. All in all exactly the sort of thing you need to keep would be purchasers interested for 25 - 30 minutes while they prowl PAX East, which is clearly its intended purpose.

Like the Murkmire prologue, I did wish that there had been a little more for existing in-game players to see and explore in the various new spaces - something to make you really appreciate the places and get more out of them, rather than it being a series of very linear, get in, solve puzzle with rather too much prodding from Abnur in case you didn’t immediately get the answer, and get out again rooms. And I found the final sequence somewhat underwhelming.

Still, as a teaser for the upcoming chapter it’s got me more excited, so it’s done its job.

Can’t say the same about the thoroughly lacklustre post-prologue dailies.
