Elsweyr Prologue Quest Starter Bugged?

So far I have been seeing the zone chats being flooded with all factions asking where the quest is.

I can confirm that my EP toon [main toon], read the quest starter but the quest " The Demon Weapon" never added to the quest log.

My second EP toon actually could get the quest when reading the quest starter scroll. But a few funny things happened.
Im really not sure why my Main and also my friends Main EP could not get the quest from reading the starter??!?!?
@ZOS_GinaBruno maybe this can bee looked into.
I started to think that it might have been the Eidetics that I collected a few days ago. "Khunzar-ri and the demon : Part 1 & 3 "
Eidetics that I had never berfor seen laying around. My main collected them. So I thought there might have been a conflict of sorts if this book has something to do with the Quest Prologue.( I have not played through it yet:)

I tested that theory out with my second EP toon by Canceling the quest, going to pick up those books and starting the quest. The quest starter still worked. soooo.... Im really lost as to why My main is not getting the quest??? PLEASE HELP @ZOS_GinaBruno.

Pressing "J" for my quest log it was reading Grahtwood as the quest area, Then Pressing "M" to focus the location in the world map brought me to Davon's watch as the quest starter detailed.



So I ported to Davons watch wayshrine and as I approached the town the waypoint swapped From "The Watch House" Inn, to the "Mages guild".



And abnar Tharn was where he should be so no problems.





DC Toon Worked. Still saying Grahtwood though but as you can see it is in Daggerfall.




This is My AD toon.
So Abnar Tharn is in the Vulkhel Guard Manor and Treasury,

But as you can see the quest log in your Journal is displaying that it is a quest in Grahtwood again....




I really hope that this is not an indication of how Elsweyr is going to be on realease. I know that this is a quest starter. But really with still 2 months to go I think a extra day or two to work out if it was "working" would have been in the best interest of everyone.

I can't even get into the game because on the login screen it says "Could Not Tetrieve Announcements"....

Check the Dev Tracker, Gina has stated they identified the issue and are working on a hot fix.

Yep, its bugged for some people. They know and they're working on it.

I guess the more information about the bug's nuances the better. I have ready those already. Quite aware that it being looked into.
