Help me celebrate Silver Jubilee

I didn't see a thread for this, so I apologize if there is one but I missed it.

Monday, March 25, 2019, is the 25th Anniversary of The Elder Scrolls! That's right, The Elder Scrolls: Arena was released 25 years ago on March 25, 1994. Whether or not TES1:Arena is your cup of tea, your presence on this forum is probably a good indication that you at least mildly like, if not passionately love, The Elder Scrolls, so I'm hoping that many of you will be interested in helping me celebrate The Elder Scrolls' Silver Jubilee. :)

Although I haven't heard about any official celebration to commemorate this milestone event, my plan is to run around every ESO zone planting a trail of anniversary cakes and yelling stuff like "Happy 25th Birthday, Elder Scrolls!", "Let's hear it for the Silver Jubilee!", "Arena! Arena!! Arena!!!", and so on. At least, I'll be doing that on the NA PC/Mac server; I can't do it on the EU PC/Mac server because I haven't collected the anniversary cake memento yet on that server. :(

Since the TES Silver Jubilee falls within the Jester festival, it would be fun if most everyone-- well, everyone who isn't a grumpy grump, anyway-- would take time out from their very important duties of pig snatching, blossom tossing, and fireworks blasting to do silly things like organize flash mobs (not MOBs) for pie wars and so on; it will be a good excuse to earn those achievements. It might even be fun for players to go to Cyrodiil and have friendly pie wars there, with volunteers from each of the three alliances taking turns at letting everyone else kill them while they're covered in pie. And of course, if you have the anniversary cake memento from past ESO jubilee events, plant them as you roam around Tamriel. :D

I'd LOVE to! But I don't have the Anniversary Cake yet, as this upcoming event will be my first one. Have fun though!

You can still throw pies and flower blossoms, or do anything else fun-- use any emotes or whatnots for singing and dancing, or just run around yelling "Happy 25th birthday, TES!" :)

Of course, the ESO jubilee event is just around the corner in April, I think, and TES is going to be 25 years old all year, so the Silver Jubilee doesn't have to be a one-day-only celebration.

Oh, that's true too. Well, okay then, I'm in! Especially since I bought Arena on release day, and played it for years - until Daggerfall landed!

Arena was so much fun . I remember marveling at the snow falling in the game. I answered the starting questions and got a sorceress. My brother was a night blade and my dad warrior in heavy armor. Each of us had our strengths and weaknesses and struggled in different parts of the game. I remember my dad had a lot of trouble with the ice wolves, I absorbed their ice breath attack and got magicka from it. My dad was so happy when he found a Shield that reflected their attacks. Good times <3

They were! The first time I played, I was a warrior. I envisioned her as Red Sonja! Next time I was a thief, and she was my first of many in all the games to follow (though my girls actually never stole much.... just not my thing, or the DB). I named her "Greymaus" though of course The Grey Mouser was male....

I probably won't be signing in until later tonight, but it's already the 25th in half of the world-- still a few hours away here in the eastern USA-- so LET THE CELEBRATIONS BEGIN! :D

I'll volunteer to get "pied-and-died" in Cyrodiil on behalf of the DC on my main character.

Anyone who wants to organize their own "Pied-and-Died" pie war in Cyrodiil-- or join in someone else's-- should probably stress the following recommendations to the other participants:

    1) If you plan to volunteer to let yourself be killed while covered in pie, you might want to remove your gear first so it doesn't get all beat up. You can wear a costume, outfit, or just run around nearly-naked, whatever fits your personality.

    2) Be sure to stow all of your Tel Var stones and such in the bank before willing letting yourself get killed.

I don't have any singing or dancing emotes, but anyone that does can organize their own shindigs. (Yeah, I used that word!) Just give a shout out in your zone to let people know where your party is.

Whatever you do, JUST HAVE FUN! :)
