I rarely seem to get any Twitch drops anymore.

It seems I used to get Twitch drop crates much more often. I have "Drops Enabled" channels open nearly entire time during event weekends; 10am Eastern on Friday to 11pm Eastern on Sunday and I seem to only manage 1 crate. Is this normal? It barely seems worth the effort anymore.

I didn't get one crate after watching a couple of ESO Stream Team folks over the weekend. I agree about wondering if it is worth doing anymore.

I no longer worry about it. Nixxiom is the only streamer I find interesting now and I don't even think about drops if I decide to watch his stream.

It's been the normal for a while now sadly. I did the same as you OP and only got a measly single drop as well.

And yeah, the streams aren't all that exciting anyways, but it's pretty easy to just log into twitch on my phone and leave it going while gaming or hanging with the fam. Even with how easy it is, I agree that it barely seems worth the effort anymore.

Took all the opportunities this month. Even tried to switch between several streamers to make sure my viewing actually registered. Nothing. The only crate I saw was the guaranteed one from ESO Live.

Seriously ESO, how am I supposed to get that cub to pair with my mount if you aren't giving us any more crates? Maybe just cancel the drops altogether and pretend they never happened, because this is getting increasingly awkward. The bandwidth costs money, you know.

To put it another way, back before all free crates were nerfed (what was it? like about 6 months back? I think Sept was the last month to include crates in the Daily Login Rewards, and the Twitch drop rates seemed to plummet the following month as well) I was getting enough gems to buy 1 really nice prize or a few smaller ones monthly. That seemed like a great place to set everything as it rewarded those dedicated to the stream events and dailies by letting them regularly pick a prize for their participation.

Since they've been nerfed, I've been very dedicated to logging in every possible chance but with the stingy drop rates haven't scraped enough gems together in the last 6 months to buy even a single thing outside the lower few tiers.

I don't know what I am doing wrong. I have been on every single day that there have been drops, on an account that is linked, on channels that clearly say "Drops Enabled". I have gotten two the entire month; one from the Bethesda stream on the 15th and one from entire Thieves Guild event on the 11th. I talk to friends who have seem to receive one each day of an event.

Is it because I sometimes have the tab muted? Is it because I don't type anything in chat? Is there supposed to be a keyword? Is there some kind of anti cheat where if I have more than one login that I receive nothing? I open a channel when I move between computers but that's it.

Are you watching the streams for at least 10 minutes? Granted there's just a chance you'll get a Crate each time you watch, but you also need to make sure you're watching the minimum 10 minutes, otherwise you won't even qualify.

I also just confirmed that Drops have been going out from the previous Drop events - many of them, in fact. So the system is working, at least.

Something quietly happened a few months back. Almost all free crates in all forms went away with zero communication about it. Twitch crates are the only form of free crates we are getting now and they also had their drop chance extremely lowered.

Apparently some suit noticed we were getting to many gems and it was causing ZoS to loose a few pennies so they dangled the new "ESO Plus Exclusive access to unique Crown Store deals" in front of us and took all free crates away, hopping we wouldnt notice.

And it worked! Every time a new thread pops up about how bad daily log in rewards are, people respond with "stop complaining about free stuff" while not realizing we got much better rewards from all the free crates we used to get. We used to be able to get a lot more free cosmetics, mounts, and then gems from the free crates then what we are getting from the daily log in rewards and people havent been able to do the simple math to realize it.

I agree. A twitch crate is 4-6 gems. If I'm supporting ESO and helping to bring the game higher in twitch ratings at least 1 crate should be guaranteed daily while drop events are happening. The reward for this type of support should not be poor rng.

It does feel like there's a split personality on free items. At one moment you get a free pet, mount, and mansion (the Artaeum event) and the next there's a death grip on crates containing a few gems worth of items.

I didn't get a single crate for any of the recent twitch streams, in spite of actively watching the streams each day for more than 10 minutes, where as earlier in the month, I received a crate for every single stream I watched. It doesn't make any sense. You'd think I'd have scored at least 1 in the past 3 days, but absolute zero? ....something has to be up.

Had twitch up for about 12 hours yesterday and switched streams when one would end. Since the crates were supposed to "start" going out about 1.5 hours ago, I'm pretty sure that I didn't get any drops.

The chance for a drop is so slim anymore they should just disable drops completely. Their stinginess with the drops makes the streamers look bad. Especially then you are only watching ESO Stream Team members and still get nothing.

It has been a little while since I watched a stream. At least this time, none of the streamers even mentioned that drops were enabled. I think that even they realize that it is a joke and to even mention them being enabled is bad form!

I got two for watching a stream for a couple of hours the other night, but didn't get any today for watching for a couple of hours yesterday. RNG is RNG I guess.

I used to always get at least one crate from the streams, but now I'm not getting anything no matter how long I watch. Since that's been happening I don't really watch streams much anymore. I do think something changed with drops.

The only time I get anything is from the official Bethesda streams.

So am I understanding right in that you only need to watch 10 minutes for the chance of a drop and that this drop chance remains constant so that watching more than 10 minutes won't improve drop chances?

Several months ago after ZOS gave away a lot of crates (both from daily rewards and twitch drops) and realized players got too many gems, they cut down twitch drops dramatically. Same you can see with daily rewards: trash loot, one pet/outfit at the end of 3rd week and nothing more.

Moreover ZOS add so-called "sink" like gems-exclusive things only which are insanely overpriced even in compare with theoretical price for crowns.

And you will get x1 (one) crate for Elsweyr preorder. Very generously.

When they first started these I could get credit for watching a stream after it was live, usually the same day it aired.

I for one am at work when most of these streams air live but I do tend to watch them and I usually watch the whole thing.

It would be nice to get credit for this being as not all of us have the ability to watch these streams live.

Maybe credit for watching in the first 24 to 48 hours.

Everyone who’s not getting drops should recheck their account linking.

I probably watched 20 hours of streams during the time drops were enabled and didn’t get a single crate. I did get a crate for watching ESO live. That prompted me to review my accounts. My Bethesda account was still linked which is why I got the drop I did.

But my eso account on the zeni websire no longer had my Twitch listed under linked accounts. I didn’t remove it, zeni just dropped the linking at some point, so I added it back.

I guess they hoped that this stream thingy would take off (like esports and battle royale streams)....but it didnt (as ESO is not esport or battle royale and no one wants to watch others play it) and its same few peopl watching it....so of ocurse they stepped on the brakes, its leading nowhere.

Try being on console. I haven't gotten a single crate since the first one because I been away from my PS4 but I watch the stream.

Kind of...odd...huh? To actually WATCH the stream and not get a chance completely.

I watch twitch streamers a lot and I haven't opened a free crate since last summer.

Oh that's right, I'm a console player. Arguably the reason ESO has had the success it has had and still exists, yet console is the worst platform to play on and we don't get any twitch drops.

I wouldn't be surprised if twitch drop rates have been reduced behind-the-scenes. Recently it feels like the drop rate of rarer stuff within crates themselves has been lowered too though, so good luck getting anything worthwhile.

I'm convinced that the twitch drops are awarded by some blindfolded dude throwing darts at a board full of names. I stopped watching twitch streams 5 months ago. They eat into my game time. But weirdly enough I had an Ouroboros crate drop 3 months ago and last week. Just junk naturally but... I wasn't watching any streams
