Using cherry blossom on players does not always work/count towards the achievement

Really annoying bug, I find that sometimes the cherry blossom fails to work and the blossom is consumed anyway. You know it's worked when you see the halo over the head of the player, but when it fails you don't see the halo, just the petals on the ground.

Can you please fix this....

I keep wasting blossoms because it's not counting. I would not mind so much if the cherry blossoms dropped more for me. But they seem rare! I just wasted 2 blossoms, my last 2. Is no one else getting this issue? I should of completed the achievement by now.

If you have the cherry blossom memento from... well, I don't remember when, but you can still get the runeboxes in guild stores... then you can use this instead. It will also take several tries at times, so it works just as well or unwell as the regular cherry blossoms, but at least you have an infinite amount of blossoms.

Do you mean the Cherry Blossom Branch memento thingy? How can you use that on other players?

I have noticed that these don't work in a few places, but have not bothered to figure out why. I think that if the target character is in a dialog with an NPC or crafting station, it does not work, but I haven't done testing to determine whether that is actually what is happening.

In the past, when cherry blossom twigs were more plentiful than they are this year, I found they worked reliably when both parties were stationary and fairly close. If the target was too far away or moving (away) then it often failed.

Just like the regular cherry blossoms - put it on your fast access wheel, select, target another player, press Q (or whatever key/button the wheel is mapped to on on your system) ... and whoosh, cherry blossom halo. At least that's how I did it this year. And it DID work, the hits counted against the achievement.

I got this achievement really fast with the Cherry Blossom Branch memento (paid about 40 gold for it).

Just go to where the Jester Event is and spam it every 5 seconds.

It will hit multiple players and count all of them.

Side note: does NOT work on mounted players lol

Well, it sure is fine that we have the quickslots, and that they can be used for more than just holding potions or assistants. Otherwise I would probably not use the mementos at all ... and rarely change costumes .
