Personally I would rather they were dyeable so it created a variety, makes more sense in my mind than everyone running around with duplicate unique TES items.I would hope not. As my understanding, this is supposed to be the first of a line of "legendary" or "unique" weapons from previous Elder Scrolls games. It would be pretty silly to have them dyeable. They all have a particular look about them that makes them unique from all other weapons in their respective games. Personally, I'm holding out for either Mehrunes Razor or Keening. Both of those are really cool looking.

I like it as a weapon skin, like some enterprising smith thought "I know, I'll make some money off these fashion-loving heroes infesting my town."
Somewhere in Riften, there's a 2nd Era version of Brynjolf:
"Buy your One-of-a-Kind Weapons here! Buy the priceless Chrysamere and impress your fellows at the Fighter's Guild!"
*sells Chrysamere*
As the Vestige walks off through the crowd, he pulls out another replica and beckons to another Soul-Shriven hero. "Buy your One-of-a-Kind weapons here! Own Chrysamere and terrify your foes in Battlegrounds!"
Its all a grand scam and after he's run through his stock, he'll skip town before all the Soul-Shriven compare notes and run him out on a rail.
