Where in the world...?

So, I've been kicking around in Reaper's March lately, and I've been kind of wondering where the inspiration for the architecture and scenery comes from. Indeed, I've wondered about a few places, and I thought I'd ask here and see what people thought.

Clearly, some places and architecture styles won't have real world counterparts (such as Telvanni Towers and Vvardenfell with its big mushrooms), but many places will.
For instance, the Gold Coast puts me in mind of Sicily or Southern Italy. Hews Bane makes me think of Arizona, or some of the craggier parts of Israel. Obviously, the Rift and Eastmarch are Nordic, drawing inspiration from Norse culture and the cold forests of Norway. Glenumbra and other Breton lands clearly draw from European scenery and architecture.

I've been thinking that Auridon kind of reminds me of Japan, what with the cherry blossom trees and such, but the architecture isn't very Japanese. Reaper's March has made me think of Spain, or perhaps parts of Africa? The architecture reminds me of Tibet, with the tall organic looking towers and lion statues.

So, what do you think? Where are the different zones and architectures drawing inspiration from?

I'm from southeast Asia and I'm sure that the kahjit are inspired from the far eastern architecture, much like how the temples and the houses in Cambodia or Thailand looks like. Also, those hats, the flat round ones are reminisce of the Vietnamese rice farmers.

Some of the khajiit and dunmer architecture are inspired from asian, khajiiti is more south eastern asia while dunmer buildings (the ones outside vvanderfall)are chinese/ japanese inspired

But the east asian influence is quite limited on dunmer architecture, I'm guessing chinese style is reserved for akaviri

If you look closely in Hew's Bane you can see that your Egyptians in the game of Outside World were obviously influenced by it yes. There are falcon headed statues, winged gods and the like all of which are central to the culture of the area we now call Hew's Bane.

I always feel that Khajiit clothing and building are base on Vietnamese style. Try Google image search for Vietnamese traditional housing and clothing.
