Bloodmoon bow - does it exist

I’ve started using the bloodmoon set from the March of Sacrifices but have not seen any bows drop. I’m wondering if there is a bow for this set? I know the 5 piece bonus doesn’t work with the bow but don’t know if that means there’s no bow drop.

Does anyone have a bloodmoon bow themselves?

5 piece of this set did work with a bow (at least on the PTS).

It does not. Sets with "melee damage" as proc condition do not drop bows.

I think it was on the PTS template, but, looking at the set, it shouldn't exist on live. No idea if it does or not.

I've gotten one 6 or 7 times while farming for the 1h weapons.

It doesn't exist. I have never seen staves either. I had over 100+ run with group loot notifier and I have been asking in many guilds. Even if it would, it would make no sense to use it. Just slot vMA, Asylum or Master Bow.

Blood Moon or Blooddrinker?

Because, yeah, I've gotten a couple Blooddrinker bows. Those certainly exist. It's Blood Moon, I'm unsure of. Knowing what I do about the smart loot system, it shouldn't exist.

I do not think it exists. I farmed MoS and vMoS repeatedly over a month for the set, as the jewels were not dropping for me, and I did not see a single bow drop. As the other poster says, seems unlikely to even exist.

@Commancho yep that’s what I was told. Has no utility for the type of bonus it gives so it doesn’t exist.

@starkerealm bloodmoon from MoS not blood drinker and yes smart loot that’s why I’m double checking

It should not exist but neither should my soilder of anguish bow, ice staff or inferno staff.

I think the smart loot system is not working as intended, because I have quite a few weapons that are... well... useless, like my red mountain inferno staff, SoA resto staff, or the other weird weapon drops that are now lying in their own storage box named "Weird stuff". Best one is still the level 1 amber plasm maul.

A friend I ran the dungeon with got a bow from MoS in the first few days after it went live, but I've never seen one drop again after that. Neither did my guildies or the people I ran this dungeon with. Only melee weapons after that. So it was probably fixed, or the loot system glitched out this one time (because yes, it should not exist), but considering the bow is not working with the melee light attacks, it's... meh.

@Wolfkeks, for what it's worth, smart loot drops a lot of stuff that might be useful in some extremely narrow build, but generally will seem worthless. For example, a Mending Bow sounds like a terrible idea on every level, but you might want it for a specific tank build.

As a result, there's a lot of trash, like Greatswords of the Lich, that seem useless, but might have some niche use somewhere, so the game errs on the side of permitting them to exist.

The only time Smart Loot actually kicks in, is when the weapon cannot benifit from its own effect. So, you won't find a Knight-Errant Bow or lightning staff, because it only affects Sword and Board skills.

Red Mountain procs off weapon skill effects, so it could, theoretically, be used with a staff, even though the idea of running that build is insane.
