Did they nerf it or something? I'm not playing since almost around a year anymore, so I'm not up to date.. (wanted to play a magic class because i alrdy lvlt everything physical, but........ staves on a NB or DK, i just can't...)

Also, I'm sure you alrdy heared it before but, melee magic does not exist. I mean, how can it hit you hard when you drop from 6 to 5k dps. Just a wild valuation, but i guess you know what i'm talking about.

By magicka-melee I mean being a magicka character who does not use staves for one or both weapons. You will have crappy weapon damage, and the strong enchantments could make up for that. The developers obviously did not have this in mind when they made their “balance” changes for 1-handed weapons, because the only thing that kept LA/HA decent for magicka-melee was enchantments. Something like two thirds of your LA/HA damage comes from enchantments if you are magicka and swinging non-staff weapon. They cut 1h enchants in half, so now it kind of sucks for that style. It’s still workable for the content I play, but... it was a big ouch. It is enough for me to have to deal with more sustain issues creating a character like that... I am not a fan of now having crappy weapon enchants on top of it. Thus, I really want a melee type weapon that restores magicka on HA now more than ever.

Why on Nirn do people keep thinking Elsweyr is going to have additional features announced?

It's been available for pre-purchase which means they've already listed all of its selling points in order to maximize early sales. Additionally it's going to be available for early access on PC/Mac just two months from tomorrow, so it's not like they have time to pack anything extra into it. Also means it's going to be hitting the PTS really, really soon.

It's not the devs fault it's probably marketing. My guess is it was already built for Morrowind but marketing are holding it back for a future chapter rather than giving us all the features we want at once.

The three heroes represent each of the leading nations of the alliances - breton, nord, high elf.

She's definitely altmer.

The answer to OP's question looks like a very solid no. While we will no for sure in a few weeks Zos would have likely said something already. While there is interest, the interest has not seemed strong for what OP is asking for.

Yea i didn't soaked up much of the lore. I'm always too disappointed with the addons not including alternatives to staves.
