Dear forum, an idea on build testing

So just an idea,

What if, when we do a dummy test or just visit our house and duel, we can test sets at the same time? Give us a "testing" menu that allows players to try specific sets on to test on a dummy or player in a duel. When we are done testing, the sets disappears. That is when we go for the grind.

This idea came from my conversation with my boyfriend on how players not on PTS don't get a chance to try the sets free and see what works for our play style. Instead, we have to run around, grind or pay to try these sets and take up more inventory space only to find if it is something we like or don't like.

Your thought, forum?

P.S. Thank you to the PTS players who test and share builds prior to release. Your contributions do help the community.

You can join the pts too. Zos allows you to do that. If on a console, I would use your pc for that purpose only problem solved.

"Instead, we have to run around, grind or pay to try these sets and take up more inventory space only to find if it is something we like or don't like."

Working as intended. Which means you're playing the game.

Cx, just use a PC to get on the pts if it is important to you. :)

Of course there is the build editor....

Well, I mean, if you want to donate the money to me to buy a PC, I will not be against it. I can start a "Go Fund Me" if you wish or I can send you my PayPal.

And like I said in my post, a build we can test for ourselves. An online editor wont give me a personal feel for the set with my play style.

The PTS is what is used to test sets. While I understand consoles do not have access to PTS, that is the platform the heavy PC theorycrafters use.

Beyond that, what you ask for is actually pretty complex considering the total number of sets in the game. Since we do not enter a special environment to use test dummies this could be even more problematic since Zos would have to figure out how to let your character use the gear without actually having the gear.

In other words, it is very likely not an easy task and that is part of what Zos would look at when considering such an idea.
