What triggers me the most about this update.

Added useless crap "map completion" when you open map.
Changed the "search" in guildstore.
But can we craft more than 4 potions at a time??? NOPE

Update: To those who dont get my post and thinking i get "triggered" about the map things and guild store. Thats not what i was going for. What im trying to say is, it triggers me that they can add all these cool useless things but still (in the last 5 years) dont let us craft more than 4 pots at a time.

Same for food and glyphs - let us select how many to craft at a time.

I do like the search option in traders though.

I'd love to be able to craft 25, 50 even 100 potions, poisons, food or drinks with one click.

If I have mats, should be able to

Multicraft is an add-on that probably shouldn't even exist for PC, as it encourages passive/automated/AFK play.

Making its official adoption all that more unlikely.

Shouldn't exist? I'm not going to manually refine 15k raw mats one ingot at a time. Been there. It's not funny. These small things should really be part of the base game. I cannot conceive how console players do it tbh.

there is eve a mod for the multicraft addon that lets you refine whole stacks or craft whole stacks.

And no it doesnt promote afk play, its the game that makes it that you have to spend ages to craft something. And its advised against going afk during its run in case you get dc-ed. or get checked if you're not a bot.

What the add on does is make it take the least amount of time possible.
And you can still chat while it runs.
What are Natch Potes? Can you eat those?

I let my surveys build up to really high levels and collect and refine as i need to do so, one occasion I had 49k of ore to refine, seriously... This particular time i gave myself a wrist injury and fir three days after coukd not lift the kettle with my right hand when pouring out a cuppa...

Why does the new search feature in the guild store trigger you? One of the best (and most needed) changes in the history of ESO.

I'm with you on the map completion thingy though. That was already dealt with via achievements. I don't really see the point and seemed like a waste of effort to me.

I get why you would say that, but you still have to keep an eye on it. So you do stuff, click a couple things, then come back. For me the end result is awesome.

I refined the raw mats that I got from 3 months of surveys using an add on while I did a whole bunch of real household chores. It felt a lot more like an rp experience than pressing A over and over again. So doing the dishes = refined platinum. Make your kids lunches for tomorrow = Rubidite and gold tempers. It's absolutely the way it should be.

Don't use it and don't see an use even for potions, has one to filet fish however.
And its not long term, making 200 potions / food takes less than an minute and is not something you do daily.
Lazy writs addon however is essential, would not done crafting writs without it.
Love the new search feature for stores.

The map completion miss lower tire quests, tend to find them fishing.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

It took them 5 years to get these features in the game. 1 could of expected those to be base features, so expect to wait a couple more years before your requests are resolved.

In all seriousness, I like the direction the game is going recently and it's evident they're looking to improve stability, QoL and the simplicity of the game (finally). This is the first year that feels like they actually have a plan, looking back at you Morrowind update :s

Store works well and fluidly, map is intuitive for completionists and highlights eso's strong point of massive zones to explore for newer and veteran players alike. I expect many more changes coming down the pipeline. Feels like a reformation of the game of sorts, however it takes time. I imagine they have limited staff dedicated to QoL changes like this.

The recent change with U21 to items has shown a lot of improvement to load times and stability. The simplicity they introduced by changing how +20% from cp buffs food, 5 pc sets and mundus stones. Next update, the removal of Imperial City from the main zone as it's own separate instance. Racial balance (feels good to most of the player base, minus sneaking wood elves). Class rep system and reorganization of staff. Hiring Gilliam, etc. CP on hold for review (although not the sole reason for dmg creep, it's a flawed and boring system imo).

Feels like were on the cusp of greatness. I just hope they keep this momentum. Some people are at the end of their rope after 5 years and I'm not sure another year of DLC that just gives a new trial, new dungeons, new class, etc, is enough to mix up the game when it just starts to feel like more of the same.

making it an "official adaption" wouldn't make the add-on part of the base game, it would just be making it so you could craft in multiplicities of the base amount related to how much of the material you have, and then it would be instant. That's not the same, isn't it?

Instant bulk crafting is an unrealistic expectation so I'm not going to spend much time entertaining it.
That's why I'm not even suggesting an assistant to refine/craft orders for you. It would only be met with complaints that it's too expensive for something that provides no actual shortcut.

So what's left? The notions to either break up your crafting into smaller, more manageable sessions, or don't let your materials pile up for days and days before attending to them.

Does seem that way, I agree. *sigh* Yes. I play on PC. I've never owned a console. Never will. Don't buy stuff to just play games on.... I bought my first PC in 1985.... DOS (and boy was THAT a learning curve since I'd never done a thing with computers prior).

Upgraded to a hard drive (very very very tiny by today's standards - 10 MB I think) and a second floppy drive early the next year. Then discovered the SSI Gold Box games - which occasioned another hard drive install, and more RAM (from um.... something seriously miniscule to twice that much - can't remember the numbers this many years later).

Then I got into building my own machines....

But yes, I do see why (considering this forum in particular) that you would feel that way.

Yeah.... I have extremely limited download bw. Satellite.... so I have 12 gig on a "rolling" 30 days (in other words, it never zeros). And it's slow. Of course, it's marginally better than dialup which is all I had before wildblue....

I have a really good RL friend who is happy to send me his install folder after mega-updates. And boy do I appreciate that. I just know that one of these times I'm going to miss a really cool log in reward because I had to wait 5 days to get a stick from him....

This last DLC download wouldn't have been an issue (I had the bw available) - but the download kept bugging out at 20% or so. There's only so many times I can restart a download and have it bug out again....

So you think that pressing a single button 300 times instead to refine mats is the best approach?

Uh, no. Bulk processing should be the solution. The addons are a decent workaround, but there clearly should be refine all or create x pots. This abstract "passive play" concern pales in comparison to not enjoying the game.
