This sounds like sorcs back before they upped the shield reduction in battle spirit years ago. Sorcs all claimed it was skill while every sorc had a 1 v X video. Thats NBs now. Its actually even worse as some are even embarassed to post their snipe desync gank videos for fear of being mocked.

And despite all of the "sorcs are useless now" threads there are still many players that dominate on sorc. As far as nb's go Xv1'ing with snipe or constantly resetting a fight because they can't kill someone doesn't make them op or unbalanced.

Depends on how you define strong...

I think Magicka Templars are the strongest because you can switch roles very easily from Tanky to Healer to Damage Dealer. They also have strong burst combos, self heals, and group support.

I think Nightblades are actually really weak, because all they are really good at is damage. They are neither particularly tanky nor do they provide any group support.

Wardens are almost as strong as Templars, but I don't think their group support abilities are as good.

Wardens have the best group support in the game , only thing Templar has over them is purge.

This is a very vague poll bcz strong can mean many things but as far as best at trying to kill an opponent its a stamblade.

I'm wearing blood spawn, crest, seventh legion, sword and shield, using major vitality potions and getting healed/guarded by a templar,

Yes heavy DK in CP is very tanky and won't die(to be fair TTK is way too long in CP nowadays, I feel immortal even in medium armor, as long as I have someone providing cleanse) But at that point, with so much invested into survivability, if I can't survive a hit, nothing should. After all Dk is ''the tank class''. It sounds ironic to blame DK for being tanky. Its the only thing the class is good at, and the damage comes from sets like seventh-fury etc. Without those sets stamDk won't be a threat.

Stamden is all around a really good class, does everything stamDK does better. I personally hope with Elsweyr they don't nerf stamden but bring other classes up to par with it, more balanced and shiz.

I voted stamden because while stamblade has very high killing potential, stamden is just slightly lower in that aspect, but has more...

    reason for choice:
Stamblades have highest skill ceiling. so people can do extremely well with them.

Probably a rant with some repeating sentiments, but

As a whole i feel like the hate on Magden is a bit warranted when it comes to snares. Magden's only PvP snare is on it's ultimate so for "Magden's Snares" to be complained about it so much even though it's specific effect on an ultimate is probably something that needs to be looked into. Anyone else can pick up a frost staff and warden is specifically the one being complained about here, most of Sleet storm is fine with its damage and major protection. Or the +8% mag or stun based on corresponding morphs. However, i feel the reason why Magden is over performing is because no-one can move with the insane 70% snare. not it's burst or its cleave. It's way too much for the other effects and even more so since ZOS needlessly nerfed the class and weapon major expedition and the general speed of the game. Although pots and jewels did need to be cut down. It doesn't need a damage nerf or a reduction in the effect of major protection or its morph effects. If people could run away or move out of the snare with more snare removals or if it was reduced to 30% or even removed, Magden wouldn't be as strong as it is at all and perhaps counterable

And I would even say that Magden specifically would drop out of the meta with people swapping to Stamden or Warden Healers. I feel like all of its power is in Sleet Storm and Deep fissure. And it is specifically enabled by Sleet Storm. I say this because when people cant move, they are significantly easier to hit with Fissure and it reduces the amount of screen rotation you have to do to hit them with, other people in the group can also chase them down and it becomes easier to kill them. Hence why its so good in groups. I'd advocate for a snare nerf if magden was buffed in the 1v1 and PvE sphere, given a worthwhile stun (i'm looking at you Blast), some more frost damage skills via reworking underperforming Winter's Embrace skills with PvE utility and some passive updates to make chilled worth something to the DD similar to how DK buffs Burning and Poisoned. With more damage skills, this would also make them squishier as some of the best tools they have are shimmering shield and ice fortress. We are advocating for reworks to the other morphs (Crystallised Slab and Expansive Frost Cloak respectively). So if they used our reworked skill ideas a, Magden would lose major heroism, a damage absorb shield and minor protection by going max damage. That's huge! And it all balances itself out. We also can't ignore the people who wanted a damage cryomancer and were ignored. (Oh, and frozen retreat too. We didn't forget you buddy.)

    I picked Stamina Warden.

Yes, Stamblades are a close call but they're usally so squishy that they just melt in front of a half competent tanky player that can dish out medium damage (MagDKs?).
Best they can do in that scenario is to flee... Not even that if the enemy has an hard counter (Scorching flare is a death sentence for a retreating stamblade).

Stamdens just have no weaknesses and their group play viability is invaluable.

This is not true since some time. Most scissors are made of rock these days, leaving paper useless.

This Poll looks pretty much how I would expect. Stamblade, followed by Stamden followed by a hot mess. Little surprised stamplar and mag DK arent a bit higher, but that could also be because I play a fair amount of mag sorc, and they are both tricky counters (purge and wings).

Since a lot of people here are biased by what kills them though most. The real order of the best pvp class ( in terms of 1vX) should be stam warden, stamblade, stam sorc, stamplar, stamdk, magplar, magsorc, magdk, and magwarden. For reference, I’ve play every character soley for at least 3 months but I did start with a dk from the beginning.

It absolutely isn't. It's great for battlegrounds like domination or deathmatch because of their incredible capabilities to play around with stealth/cloak and quickly obliterate people out of stealth.

    Speaking only from BG perspective:
Stamina NB is the best when queueing solo. You can do crazy things on your own without having to rely on someone else.

Once you enter organized group, hands down, the best is Warden (no matter the resource). But magplar is an honorable mention too.
