A lot of people are mentioning puncturing sweeps, but a lot of classes have decent heals. It’s true that self-heals are important for relaxing play. For Stam classes, warden has lotus/shrooms, dk has green dragon blood, nb has siphoning strikes, and sorc has surge. For mag, you have Resto staff plus sorc has matriarch, dk has burning embers, Templar has sweeps, warden lotus/shrooms, nb has strikes....

Sweeps isn't only ideal for ease of play, but also for someone who has a repetitive strain injury like the OP.

My main is a breton templar. Punc sweeps with RD thrown in here and there, along with a meteor and a random Honor the Dead thrown in for the tougher bosses has gotten me through all overland and storyline content (base zones, DLC zones). I don't know about Craglorn because I haven't finished that questline yet.

Being a healer will also give you quicker queues in dungeons/BGs. I HAVE done a couple vet dungeons and a couple of trials, but either due to the fact that I'm a scrub or due to the fact that a templar healer isn't a DD, I can't solo a lot of the dungeons because I can't break through DPS checks.

ALL HAIL SNUGGLORR THE MAGNIFICENT, KING OF THE RNG AND NIRN'S ONE TRUE GOD! Also, become a Scrub-scriber! SJ Scrubs: Playing games badly to make you feel better about yourself.

Kinda disagree on stam warden. Good dps may be relative, but if you want to deliver good dps, you needa cast chalks in between two other abilities. If you want to keep some buffs up, it won't end in an easy bird spam. I'd say you are forced to bar swap if you really want good dps, you are forced to watch out for your debuffs and best cast chalks on cooldown (I mean they deal very high cleave damage anyway and crit for up to 40k) but using them means you need to align correctly to get the hitbox hit the most opponents possible. Further, if oyu ever intend on doing Maelstrom, there is hell of a difference in difficulty between Warden and Sorc. One you can play with one bar. The other ... well, in theory maybe, but chances of success are rather slim.
However for overland content? Of course, Warden will easily work. For real pve content, like when you want to enter vet dungeons or even trials at some point? Warden will be harder to play then sorc.

However, I can really agree on the fun aspect. Warden is a nice class to play.

I think it’s more compared to stamina nighblade that stamina warden is easier. But of course pet sorc is on a whole other level of easy :D
    Playing since January 23, 2016

Magika Templar - you are basically a one-man/woman army all on your own.

My bars would look like this:

    1)Purifying Light
    2)Reflective Light
    3)Elemental Blockade
    4)Puncturing Sweep
    5)Radiant oppression
    u)Crescent Sweep

    1)Honour the Dead
    2)Ritual of Retribution
    3)Channelled Focus
    4)Entropy
    5)harness Magika
    u)Solar Disturbance

I emphatically agree with the consensus that the best two choices in some order are magicka templar and magicka sorcerer.

I'd go Breton by a small margin over the other good magicka races, because having lower cost adds more to ease than higher damage does.

One thing that people who praise magplar commonly forget is how good a skill Reflective Light is.

Good on you! I love my sorcs and wardens; with my mega ping (2000 ms + all the time) I NEED the mitigation provided by pets run server side.

I also just find them.... fun....

I don't have ping issues, but I love, love, love pet classes. Sorc is my favorite. You're not just you-- you're an army ;) I'm doing the EP storyline now on my Argonian magdk, but it's not the same. I miss my warden's big fuzzy-butt pal and my daedra buddies.

I just wish that pet classes in ESO somehow worked the way my hunters did in WoW. Man.... I was bummed big time when I left WoW (because I HATED where the game was going, and leaving all my girls in limbo was another MAJOR downer), and then I migrated to RIFT.... which aside from the SUPREME housing, was just not the same.... And now I've found out that due to mega-STUPID on the part of Trion, I can't even get into RIFT to get back into housing. *SNARL*

So, yeah.... pet classes here are - from my POV - not what they should be, but marginally better than what's in second place.

I've already a Khajiit and Breton for heal, so which race (different from these two, I don't like having two time the same) would you advice me for this ?

I'd recommend trying out stam sorc, magicka templar, and magicka nightblade. All 3 have excellent survivability and are great for overland. They also have varied playstyles. I personally did not enjoy magicka sorc; prefer to charge in with a stam sorc rather than fight behind pets. But magicka sorc is many friends' favorite class. So if you try out these three, should be able to get a feel for what you enjoy.

Carpel tunnel surgery takes less than an hour.

Oh yeah... And playing with a controlling on console has got to be more comfortable for wrists and hands than a mouse and keyboard. Never heard of anyone getting carpel tunnel from a controller.

Most doctors are going to suggest patients change habits first as that can be most successful and there are always risks to surgery.

I have some undiagnosed RSI issues and the second I picked up a controller, I could feel them flare up.

Can the hunter control pets in WoW? I tried the class on a blood elf and gave up at level 5. Tried again on whatever that demon pet class was, and only made it to level 10. Random aside: tab is the key I use to hide things from my blind flailing like, oh, ESO potions. Only being able to target via that key instead of a mouse click drove me to cuss-levels of frustration, especially when my toon kept snarking at me every time I tried to fire off a skill :s

I love my GW2 rangers and necromancers-- but especially my rangers. Pet AI is excellent-- and you can call off and re-target pet attacks, swap pets on the fly, and use their abilities at your will. I wish you had control here. Especially of Biggy McFuzzybutt.

In vanilla wow back in the day when you could tame pets from the wild, yes You had a whole pet control bar. Now they assign you a bulldog at lvl 1 and you have no control.

Not true. You can tame hundreds of pets from the wild to this day. They do assign a pet at level one, which you can change to any pet you want via taming. You still have a pet control bar. It has not changed since vanilla.

Yep. Sis still plays wow, and still plays hunters. She tames whatever she wants on her hunters (assuming she lives over the taming on the rares, which is what she goes after....)

I had so many rares on my hunters when I quit wow. I wish we could do that sort of thing here.

DK and Warden I've found are the "easiest".

To level purely is mag Templar (spear spam).
