    It's because the game heavily rewards running in large groups.

    Minimal AP loss, while having greater survivability and more wins than in any other group constellation. Which means more fun b/c you win/kill more and less displeasure from dying and having to cross the entire distance between the respawn and the fight again.

    Im not sure how you would expect otherwise. If you try to take anything, you are going to get a response. Odds are, 1 side will have more than the other. Obviously; being experienced is going to help you either way. I don't see any way you can design to make that not a thing.

    And there is nothing wrong with new players PUGing up to get some numbers and exploring out on their own as they feel comfortable. Nothing wrong with guilds running some numbers because you have friends and its not like you are going to turn and say "Wait. We are awfully zergy. You, you, and you; please disband and go somewhere else." The issue is with the full faction stacking that happens outside of just natural occurrence.

    You're probably right. I have heard the other side saying people are too tanky, but I feel they are tanked up because the damage is too high, and still high enough even when tanky.

    I run a tanky build as constantly outnumbered and zerged down , until people change how they play I don't see this going away

    Its not damage that is too high. Its the *** builds people make for pvp. Some are so squishy that they die from 3 skills.

    Don't forget EG stacking. That alone is worth hiding in a zerg for. I seriously doubt with all the other changes people would still ball up if not for that set and bogdan...But it's apparently fair and balanced to ZOS :D

    Defensive and turtling is also too high / easy. There are so many people out there with low damage tank builds that it just isn;t worth it to fight them.

    I just use them to build up some ultimate. It's almost comical sometimes to see a 70k hp guy wandering around and nobody bothers to fight them. Then there is the opposite extreme where 20 players are all pounding on them. I like to join in just because well I don't know actually something triggering a primal part of my brain probably like chasing mag sorcs out into the wilderness where they can get you alone. Sometimes you just can't help yourself.

    Alternatively, help kill the tank so that the 20+ other players in light armour spamming light attacks with their bows can then at least drop some siege and try to open a wall.

    5 years of Cyro, the same thing over and over again with no changes at all. What do you expect ? At some point, people will move on... and the new casual players will zerg.
