How to change where thr ESO folder is located

A request to the clever people please.

Is it possible to change the folder where ESO installs itself to?

At the moment ESO is installed to wherever it goes, however it puts a folder in the Documents folder. This is the folder I would like to change - the one where addon data, screenshots etc. are stored.

Is it possible to change where this folder is located, and if so, how would I do it?

I'm not a technical wizz, so looking for easy to understand and follow suggestions please

Thanks in advance

EDIT: my bad, I missed the part where you said you only wanted to move the userdata folder. I`d be surprised if it could be moved, since that folder needs to be in a location that is writable by the user. The best alternative I could suggest is creating a hardlink on the filesystem, but that`s not recommended for non-technical users IMHO.

What I recently did to move ESO to a different partition (as I decided to merge two partitions together):

    1) Make a backup of the install folder
    2) Uninstall ESO
    3) Copy the backup to the intended destination
    4) Reinstall ESO on top of that folder
    5) Run a Repair

    Thanks for your thoughts.

My problem is that Onedrive sync's my documents folder, and 99% of the updates are eso addons, writing completely unimportant information that doesn't need backing up.

It wouldn't be an issue if we had good broadband but with an upload of 0.8 mbits or whatever the unit is, it is a nuisance. And as far as I can find there is no easy way to stop onedrive syncing a specific folder without it removing the folder from file explorer, which then means eso cant see the addons ….. the joys of technology ...

Unfortunately, a hard link wouldn't allow you to bypass that problem, Onedrive would still walk down that tree, and sync it.
