Group of trolls wasting people's time in NORMAL dungeons.

There's a group of players, all over 1000cp, claiming to be new to whatever dungeon they join. Then they proceed to wait 30 seconds to a minute between each pull. The tank will not run through the dungeon, he/she will sneak. When you ask them why the holdup? They claim they're explaining mechanics. Again, a NORMAL dungeon, and apparently explaining trash pull mechanics.
Can't name them, because apparently calling out trolls is considered "naming and shaming" or whatever they call it. Just wanted to share my experience with this certain group, that's all.

This says it all and even though OP stated this in the first post it seems lost on them.
The players being at such a high CP does not mean squat. I have seen players at low CP that played better than a great many at the CP cap and beyond. I have seen CP capped players who were doing the dungeon for the first time on any difficulty level.
While it may seem odd to see someone explaining the mechanics to a player in a normal dungeon, to suggest that they have no business explaining the mechanics to someone who may be new to tanking seems rather narrow minded. If you really took that much issue with it then you cold drop the group and form your own group next time if you so not want to be bothered with people who maybe helping someone else learn.

What's bad in it? If your random group is crazy, just quit and let them kick you. I'm not saying about leaving group with weak dps, mutagen healer and taunt-and-permablock tank, I mean if they are jerks like OP described.1 -

It's entirely possible that the tank has spent a long time questing through the overland content and doing dailies and is now trying the dungeons for the first time with more experienced friends. There are a lot of people who are hesitant about group content, some don't touch it for years, and there are a lot of players who want or need to take things slow.
Above all if you have expectations of a fast easy run when queueing and then get annoyed when your expectations aren't met, that's a "you" problem. ✭✭✭✭✭I have been that player who was in a normal dungeon that i've never done before asking to have things explained to me and getting frustrated when out "tank" proceeded to insult me and then skip all the trash without waiting or explaining which paths to take to skip aforementioned trash.
yes my CP at that point was higher then cap. you'd be amazing just how quickly it goes when you do a LOT of crafting (especially master writs), when there is double xp event happening every few months and when you do ALL the quests becasue you enjoy the stories and like achievements, not to mention furnishings those achievements unlock.
high CP doesn't mean that player knows every possible dungeon backwards and and forwards. all it means is that they are active player in some way.
consider for a moment.. that they are EXACTLY what they say they are and are NOT out to get you, OP.

I'm sorry but you don't stop for 30 seconds or longer between every pull including trash pulls. You also don't sneak through the dungeon when you're the tank. They were trolling.
I typed this exact question "Are you wasting people's time for fun or what's going on?". The answer was, "for fun". I just left. Got them about 30 mins later in a different dungeon and left a couple of pulls in because they were doing the same thing.

Everyone has their own way of doing things. How I do things when running with my normal crew is different than you. We run through, pull a bunch of groups together and kill them in one large group.
Thing is, for people who take exception to who they get grouped with they are asking for a random group. They could form their own group which makes more sense than complaining in the forums about it. OP has not really provided anything that confirms they are trolling. Just giving their feeling about events.6 -
malicia✭✭✭✭It could also be as simple as one of them being new to tanking, and another explaining pulls to that one. I'm a reasonably experienced tank, and I still get to learn pulls from friends better at tanking than I am.

You would have no fun then with me as tank, i'm usually not pulling quicker either and NOT trolling, i just enjoy a normal run instead of this QUICKER QUICKER FASTER GOGOGO mentality today. Honestly i dont think you can complain if you join a random group that has to agree with you that it should be always a speedrun. If you want that, form a premade and you'll not "waste" your precious time.
(and yes my runs took usually about 6-10minutes longer then those quick runners)

Why should those 3 have their experience disrupted by this random person? It goes both ways, and if they were here complaining about the OP's behaviour I'd tell them the exact same thing. Why do you think your time is more valuable than theirs, or that your hobby of rushing through dungeons is superior? Why do you assume they understood your question? Maybe English is not their first language and they genuinely thought you were asking if they were doing the dungeon for fun, maybe they thought you were telling them they were wasting their own time. Well, that's why I offered OP just to leave group in such situations, if he is not in mood to wait little. No need to blame those persons, to start drama etc.. if you don't wanna run with this particular group, then don't run. Dps running ahead of tank spamming caltrops so all mobs became immune to chains? Healer doesn't provide ele drain and starts arguing about necessity to do this? Tank is not keeping taunt and don't block HAs wipe after wipe and blames healer? Vote kick -> kick failed -> leave.
And now most funny part that in 95% of cases you got adequate people in PUG who behave more or less like it was designed by ZOS for 4-group content and you may meet very nice people quite often. So in those 5% of other cases it's simpler to leave then start investigation if they are actual cp810 newbies, trolls, readers of quests in vets, skippers, fun-runners, whatever.0 -

I did my first group dungeon at CP 450
I did my first tanking on an alt that was CP 500 and now at CP cap I’m still learning new tricks
So while this experience sounds unusual, it’s probably not.
In any case, play the game the way you want to play it (as long as you’re being friendly to everyone else).
