The glory of Orsinium - thank you ZOS for one of the best features in game!

I LOVE how Orsinium is being built patch after patch!

A few weeks ago I let one of my Orc characters go to make room for another Orc in the family. Every time I say goodbye to a character I give them a little story why they leave - this time it was Kharaagh gro-Dhar who "decided" to break ranks because he felt the need to help in the building works in Orsinium.
I've been just back to this beautiful capital of the Orcs and spotted immediately that little stone gazeboo in front of the bank building which was a wooden structure at the time I let Kharaagh go.
And the other improvements are also fantastic, it really feels like the city is being built!
Scaffoldings disappear and stone structures appear all around Orsinium, lookout towers grow out of the cold and snowy ground, city wall pieces get completed, beautiful Orcish arches and numerous other things change silently.
These are very VERY lovely nuggets of kindness from the developers, so close to my heart, thank you for making real history here on the go!

I wish I did a closer look earlier and documented all the changes along the line like a photo reporter, now I could have a very unique report of how the building progression go.
I wonder if there are fellow Orcs here having screenshots in their archives to compare the past years to how this and that part of the city looks now. So many patches passed without me paying enough attention.
A little album of how Orsinium is being transformed could be the best museum piece an Orc can hold dear.

I am just glad Zo$ fixed Orcland and quitting telling console players to quit playing there. :D:D

But I agree with OP, world building would be a nice feature in the game. Not player driven but rather world driven. Other games do it, not sure why this one doesn’t

Wouldn't mind seeing Vivec grow the same way or Davon's Watch getting rebuild after the attack.
This Bosmer was tortured to death. There is nothing left to be done.

That would be rather nice, considering I really don't care for Orsinium. Mostly because I play on console and it was a real mess at launch. Even a year or so later, textures wouldn't load properly, until I got an SSD.

Thanks for the post, OP. I never noticed the changes at all, but I suspect it's because I was never really able to see what the city originally looked like due to console performance.

The city gets 'repaired' as you progress on the achievement where you have to give money to that woman, who pops up near the roads.

If you notice, the city is mostly under construction when you first arrive, but even if you don't play through the quests but still give her money each time you find her, eventually there will be less scaffolding, and more proper structures, statues included. She even mentions that on her speech, "you can look at those stone walls and know that you helped build them. You are Orsinium." Or something like that.

Oh, neat! I never knew ZOS did that :)

Orsinium has never been a place I've enjoyed just because the layout's so confusing. Maps never seemed to help me find anything. I'd usually get in, try to turn in whatever quest after wandering around for five minutes, then spend the next ten trying to find the wayshrine again. Plus, after spending months with DIY home projects, dodging splinters, drywall fragments and old nails, I really hate unfinished construction. /personalbias

Speaking of the little Gazebo, I just went to Orsinium and ran into the Patron achievement woman. I donated once, and also ran a delve quest. When I arrived in the city the gazebo was made of wood and covered in a tarp. But after I did what I was there to do (deliver Watcher's Hold quest) I went back by the Gazebo and it had been turned into the stone one. Couldn't help but think of this thread.

Which begs the question. Perhaps the side quests also have an influence on the city's looks. In any case it is indeed a great idea and implementation.

Honnestly has not realised this!! I love Orsinium, IC and it are the only two DLCs that i think are worth owning.

us console players were told not to go into town for months as the writ drop off was bugged. I persevered tho entering from the north and hoping.

I missed the days there were people in different players rather than grouped in most convenient for writs etc.

I'm going to re explore Orscinium now on NA thanks for the reminder how ace the zone is!!

I'm so sorry for you console-guys, it must have been disheartening to face all those glitches :/

Thank you for all the input, I'll go and scratch this deeper with other toons I haven't done any questing there and compare it with the ones having most achievements. Would be interesting to get it confirmed what and how it is changing around based on player activity and what is purely affected by patch upgrades.

Will link a picture later just have to upload it somewhere I believe...

I made these screenshots in Orsinium (the first one in November 2016, the second one just yesterday).
You can see, that some scaffoldings disappeared. The NPC is still there, doing the same job (like in real life) :p
