How many skill points do you need for an alt character?

On average how many skill points do you bother collecting for your alt characters? After a bit of a back of the envelope calculating it looks like about 73 would be the bare minimum for an ok build, 93 would get you some flexibility and maybe around 120 would be more than enough for most alts. In practice this seems to line up with around where I end up on my alts with new ones having the bare minimum and after a while they'll have a few more if I can be bothered doing some public dungeons or adventuring on them.

For example a basic templar alt might have:

Active Skills
Puncturing Sweeps = 2
Spear Shards = 2
Solar Prison = 2
Radiant Oppression = 2
Breath of Life = 2
Ritual of Retribution = 2
Regeneration = 2
Elemental Storm = 2
Elemental blockade = 2
Energy Orb = 2
Inner Light = 2
Active skills total = 11

Passives
Essential class passives = 6 + 8 + 4 =18
Essential weapon passives = 10 + 10 = 20
Essential light armour passives = 11
Passives total = 49

Extra
Racial = 10
Rapids = 1
Warhorn = 2

Base Skills and Passives total = 73

Extra Passives and Skills
extra class passives = 2 + 4 = 6
intimidating presence = 1
banish the wicked = 3
presuasive will = 1
magicka controller = 2
undaunted mettle = 2
undaunted command = 2
medicinal use = 3
extras total = 20

Grand Total = 93

Skills from leveling = 64
Skills form base game dungeons = 24
Total skill points after leveling and clearing base game dungeons = 88

Extra SP needed = 93 - 88 = 5 (15 skyshards)

    Haven't bothered "grinding" for them on my alts, but idk, after levelling the last one I had an extra 30ish without investing any in crafting. That was with a rock solid build for pve mid level content. If I had to put a number on it somewhere between 70 and 90 actually spent. I think you're numbers are solid. Even though it's easy (and some say boring) content, the SP from harbourage quests are nothing to forget about. Btw, took a whole 10 days to level that alt... No grind required.

    The skill points you get from leveling and dungeons are enough for a non crafting character in my experience.
    Not sure what that number is. But I've never had to grind skill points on any characters except crafters.

    100 and change will get you most of what you need.

    That's 2 weapon lines, 1 full and 2 partial armor lines, racial's, partial guild, and necessary crafting passives (food and potion extensions, etc)

    By the time you get the leveling ones, then round up the group event in each zone's public dungeon (full skill point), perhaps a 4-man or few, you'll have the majority of what you need, maxed, and morphed.
    Just because you don't like the way something is doesn't necessarily make it wrong...

    Earn it.

    IRL'ing for a while for assorted reasons, in forum, and in game.

    Probably has checkbox on Customer Service profile that say High Aggro, 99% immunity to BS
