Writ Steward for your House

Who would like some kind of placeable steward that will go and collect my writs and I can ask him for the writ quests in my house......... I have all these fancy crafting stations in my house that I never actually use because the writ board is in town.

I certainly would, and I've asked for this before. I called them Writ Couriers, but it doesn't matter what they're called, I'd just really like to have an assistant like this so I can do all my writs at my lovely crafting areas in my homes.

The other thought is a writ board furnishing (a collectible, so it can be placed in multiple homes).

I know some players are against this, because they're afraid it will suddenly turn all towns into ghost towns. But, my alts only do writs anyway, so it would be great to just do those in my home. Then, I can be out and about with my main questing, shopping, trading, whatever in Tamriel and its towns.

Otherwise, there really isn't any point to buying these crafting stations and creating crafting areas in our homes. Any gear we want to craft for ourselves will be at a set station, so either out in the wilds or at a guild hall, unless you've been able to acquire them all for yourself. It's sometimes convenient to craft consumables if you realize you're low on something while in your home. Otherwise, there are plenty of provisioning stations about, even alchemy stations.

I would take this over having a guild bank/trader NPC.

I disagree....... you will still need to go to the guild traders......

Not sure why you're disagreeing with me, when I said exactly what you're saying. Even if I do writs on my alts in my homes, I'll still be in towns with my main doing quests or shopping, which includes guild traders. Unless, you're saying you disagree with those players I mentioned who feel that towns would be empty if this were implemented.

Even if he only showed up to my house like one day a week (Saturday or something) that alone would be cool.

Also npc guards would be great!

Yes, but for turning in Master Writs, only. Not for daily writs or purchasing items with the vouchers. There are oodles of places to turn in daily writs.

Like this idea, though disagree with Richter right above me. I'd love to have a daily writ person in the house, but if you can't turn in as well as pick up from them, then they are useless as you'd still have to go through a loading screen to a town, so you might as well just leave your alts there in that town and load straight in instead of add an extra loading screen step.

i like the idea, but not for normal writs, in most towns the walk to the place you turn in your writs isn't far.
however for mastery writs... omg that npc is so far off its very annoying. Specially because unlike with normal writs, you cant to more than one mastery writ at the time.
so much back and forth. its why i currently sell most mastery writs.
What are Natch Potes? Can you eat those?
    I believe in Genie-Gina.

I'd like something like this. The only reason I put crafting stations in my house was to be able to pull writs from the board and return to my house to work on them. Being able to pull them in my house would save at a minimum three load screens for the round trip. I am ambivalent about where to turn them in since my normal routine is to turn the completed writs in then go pickup the daily Undaunted quests. It wouldn't bother me if a writ steward could also handle writ completion however and I can see where it would be useful to some players.
