Light of Cyrodiil Uptime Question.

Hello everyone, I have a question regarding the light of cyrodiil set found in cyrodiil. The set works as mentioned.

When casting or channeling an ability reduce damage by 15%, if you are interrupted your next ability cost no magicka.

With say a Templar this has an obvious uptime on puncturing sweeps, but my question is with direct cast abilities such as funnel health on the nightblade. How long would this set be active during the casting of funnel health? Is it during the entire animation, or just when the damage is calculated?

I was theorizing that if it is indeed during the entire animation then using high elf you could perhaps have decent uptime on a nightblade (or other classes for that matter) when you utilized animation canceling.

Lastly I know lightning and Resto heavy attacks are considered channeled abilities but are the light attacks considered casting an ability?

Thank you in advance.

The uptime would be 0 percent. It only effects abilities with a cast time or channel, night blade has none of those abilities. Each ability says what kind of attack it is.

Heavy attacks would be considered cast time or channel yea depending on the type.

Looking for any guildies I used to play with:
    Havoc Warhammer - Alair
LoC EQ2 - Mayi and Iskiab
PRX and Tabula Rasa - Rift - Iskiab
Or anyone else I used to play games with in guilds I’ve forgotten
