ZOS please do something about siege stealing

Please make a way to be able to prevent people from stealing siege weapons. Whether it be being able to pack up your siege when someone else steals it, or if your siege is locked prevent other players from using it. something. @ZOS_GinaBruno please

Why? Sharing is caring. Unpack another and go on with the attack.

Sometimes I will set a few out for those who don't have any. It's not like it is expensive.

I get more annoyed when people don't use what I set up. I'll set up like 9 oils for defense and people continue to just bow light attack down below.

As a relatively infrequent visitor in Cyrodil, I LOVE it when folks leave extra siege equipment out. My last visit, I was defending a keep and ran the ever living snot out of some oil pots that were unmanned. Without those, I'd have been LA with frost staff from the second deck - not much help to anyone...

yea but I should have the option to lock my siege. case and point I had a ballista out, saw a guy die in front of me, I got off ballista and rezzed dude, when i came back some jerk had stolen my ballista and wouldnt give it back.

if its not expensive they can buy their own. and if you have 9 oils out and 5 of them arent being used, then pack them up because you are wasting siege cap

It doesnt matter who fires a siege engine. Victory is all that matters. When someone uses your siege engine then that means that overally your team is going to have more dps. Fortunately ppl can't pack your siege.

It’s an unwritten rule, if you didn’t drop it don’t use it. Now that it hits hard everybody wants to use it. I rarely even carry it.

Simple solution (at least from an idea standpoint), whoever placed the siege gets priority of it. That means, if you place a siege down and someone else starts using it (and you want to interact with it), they will get kicked off the siege while you use it. Then you are free to fire it, pack it whatever.

i deploy sieges so my enemies or their keeps gets damaged.

does it matter who uses it? absolutely not.

the only problem is whoever using it decided to just.... look around and not shooting anything. which is rarely the case, but u really dont want to put a benchmark on stupid in Cyrodiil...

that's a dumb rule.

they're cheap and unless u're a bag hoarder, u can carry a few.

if i see a siege on the ground AND no one's seem to be using it, I will use it, shoot it, then off I go again.

If someone isn't clearly running and manning all the siege, then it's free siege. If someone asks, I'll hop off. Simple.

siege cap doesn't happen that often, even in Vivec PC NA. and chances are slim u see 5 oils not being used. and if u got 9 oils deployed by urself, ur a *** to begin with.

but don't let siege owners able to kick other player from using it, just so they can farm AP.....

a win is a win, which is a win.

The simple solution would be to allow the original owner of a siege to simply start using it and boot the person that "stole" it from you. That way, if you want to put out multiple siege for pugs, great. If you want to run multiple siege on your own, nobody can mess with you.

Yeah, it is really helpful. It allows me to sell the siege I get as drops in a guild store.

What's more annoying is the [removed profanity] that steals the siege then sits on it an extra 5 seconds after wall or door are down, just to troll someone. I don't mind if you use it for free, but damn stop *** with people.

A prompt that knocks people off your siege so you can pick it up or use it would be convenient.

I agree with the "boot the arse off my siege" option.
Problem with locking siege to the person who put it down is that "spyz" would set up siege at keeps just to prevent effective counter sieging... my faith in humanity is low

*** i totally forgot about this scenario.... i've seen "EP" in Vivec deploying ballistas near a res where no one sees, so u got max siege deployed max when we're hitting on a blue Aleswell....

I always thought that they could add in a personal seige unit like a mount, so that every player has access to one, customizable, personal seige, that would have to be repaired when expended or destroyed. Excess seige could still be bought and placed, but then every player would always have at least one seige, and if you didn't pack up your personal seige, it would be destroyed if you went to place it somewhere else. (Also decrease pack up times). You could also then force pack up that seige if someone else is on it.

It's a rough idea and it would definitely require fine tuning but I think there's a workable solid solution in there, since the purpose of buying seige would be for expendable reinforcement.

The less elaborate solution would be to allow any seige you put down to be packed up with a different hotkey, regardless of who is on it.

Like someone else mentioned earlier, I'd rather see an option to kick people off of your siege. Most of the time, it really isn't an issue and it's easier than ever to get AP to by more, but it's not uncommon to have someone hop on some siege I put down and continue to fire at a door/wall, even after it's fallen.
