I mean the obvious dumb build is Blooddrinker + DS + Slimecraw on a stamsorc if you ask me.

Im leveling a dunmer stamsorc right now for just this, or near to it. After some time on PTS I realized bleeds are actually *** unless you delve deeply into the realm of random proc bleeds like pillar of nirn and axe bleeds. In the end I decided Pillar of Nirn is a cheap trick I dont want to be associated with, and as Rend, the true power play on this build, isnt even a bleed, I need to find a replacement for Blooddrinker.

Maybe hundings, or if I didnt care about keeping PVP fair id buy into the heavy armor meta with 7th legion.

Either way, hit lvl 48, finally got the unmorphed DW ult, first BG went 19/1/10 with random green/blue items and no set bonuses, so Id say the builds gonna be a winner with 14% on top and whatever other damage I can stack.

Are we talking about PvP or PvE builds? When it comes to PvE, it doesn't take a lot of clever thinking. I probably will try it out on stamina DK, either as drop-in replacement for AY to pair with Relequen (apparently, Deadly Strike is good enough even when frontbarred), or, if I'll be able to sustain that, drop monster helm and go full Relequen + Deadly Strike + Cruel Flurry rotation.

Don’t know if the damage gets increased but assains guile/deadly strikes. With kreagh. Be mostly for pve with dw wield vms with two handed giving out the buffs and debuffs. The poison pots will get increased so is kreagh. But yet I don’t know if deadly strike works on proc sets.

Blood drinker, deadly strikes front bar with dw master back bar. I run it with blood spawn on night blade. Stack bleeds, incap and burst.

It's a rough build for 1vx. On my khajiit I only have 32k stam and around 2k recovery. But when you hit someone with it it hits hard. With khajiit and shadow mundus I've seen blood craze crits over 5k.

I actually already thought about that for the laughs. I figure the crit rush should hit pretty hard with khajiit/shadow.

It's hard learning nb with such low stat/recovery though. Mag DKs especially tear me up as I'm vampire. I've actually been preferring sentry over deadly strikes for the fun countering other nightblades and the hate whispers from ganking people in stealth.

Edit, oops thought you meant vma 2h. Vma dw proc in pvp is just a pain, gave up on that a long time ago. Sucked, I was so excited to finally get them. The collect dust along with dw inferno staff collection of vma 2h. I do still use the resto on my magblade though.

Yeah much like people using balorgh on the PTS for tooltip bragging, its not gonna work that well in reality :pensive:

Am working on simply buffing rend to the point where it becomes an AOE delete at the moment though, that seems to be the true strength of DS in BGs for me.

It sure does since jabs somehow counts as a dot. Its also decent on stamDk I guess, I would still prefer morag tong for group utility though(yes, even in PvP). I don't think this set works that well in reality.

For PVE, Deadly Strikes could squeeze more out of a damaging glyph like poison or absorb stamina if you slot it on the back bar, proccing with endless hail turns it into a DOT. I'd recommend it if you use a two hand front bar that could be combined with a full size Berserk enchantment. Kraghs is a DOT, too.

I put this on my stam DK along with vicious ophidian and used it to clear level 8 of VMA with dual wield /bow. Not sure if it is a good build or not, but virtually all my stam DK damage is in the form of dots/bleeds/ etc., so it seemed like a good stam DK set.

So ain’t poison pots a DoT? and it will be increased by deadly strikes? That’s what I’m thinking the set works on proc sets and it should work with poison pots?

    exactly! was so excited too.

btw, tried out Deadly Strikes (bought 30+ boxes in Bruma) together with Spriggan jewel/weapons.

this is all purple DS with completely random traits (invigorating, well-fitted, training, lol... i got 1 impen though!) and it's reaaaally nice...... had to switch Bloodspawn for ulti and Serpent for mundus, but I jumped into Shor and Vivec and a couple BG, and it's fun NOT to rely on Reverse Strike and/or Dizzying.

Instead my 2H is my buff/DoT back bar and DW is my front bar. the deadly cloak helps putting pressure and with 4 DoT (carve, breath, claw, rending), non-CP folks drops pretty fast.

add quick ulti-regen to the mix and ur solid. i put leap and dawnbreaker and followed alcast's suggestion of leap-followed by tornado for max AoE burst of cheese and it worked well!

but for Vivec and the occasional BG matched with premades, I'd swap into 7th+Sprig still for the extra survavibility, using same skill/gameplay.

@Alcast you think a Nirn 2H maul is better than Infused 2H axe? would 20% extra pen better than great axe's (resist-bypassing) bleeding?

Im glad someone started this discussion; I see a lot of potential with this set and really want to exploit it especially because it can make flurry great again (i love that skill) and hence give a great single target spammable to my redguard stamsorc main. That said, ive gathered my AP and spent it till i got full divines / full impen body pieces, jewellery, dw weps, 2h and bow for deadly strike set. Since then I have been doing tests, so i figured i can give you my 2 cents on this matter.

I main a redguard stamsorc and, as of now, i play mostly non-cp PVP because i am only 375-ish cp. I haven't done much PVE since wrathstone and i am just an average PVE'er but i tried a few things using hundings + deadly strikes + stormfist and I feel it works great. I get higher DPS with this combo than i was getting with either automaton + spriggans or automaton + hundings.

For PVP, deadly strikes has been doing wonders for me. I use 3 x WD robust jewellery, sharpened axe + sword with powered 2h axe backbar (I would prefer defending but hey thats what RNG gave me and it gives great heals). I combine this with 2x troll king and either 7th legion (my prefered setup) or shacklebreaker (heavy) with 5x impen and 2x well fitted, 5 stam enchants and 2x health (head and shoulders). All gear is purple cause im broke, which is also why i cant afford tristat glyphs (serious 3rd world problems here). I drink dubious for recovery and use the steed mundus for speed and survivability.

As for skills I have most of them fixed but keep in mind i keep on doing some fine adjustment to get the most out of this build. So far my bar setup looks like this:

front bar: flurry, rending slashes, quick cloak, evil hunter, bound armaments and dawnbreaker of smithing
back bar: vigor, dark deal, carve, hurricane, forward momentum and storm atronarch (for passive)

quick cloak and evil hunter are my flex spots. I can sometimes replace quick cloak for steel tornado for an execute, however im not a fan of this skill. Also, its damage is not boosted by the set and i find myself killing targets with flurry before i have time to use it so i dropped it because i found myself mostly using it to uncloak nightblades. I find major expedition more valuable as it gives me crazy mobility combined with hurricane and the steed mundus allowing me to stay in my target's face no matter what, keep my dots up and slice their guts with flurry. Moreover, the dmg reduction it gives also enhances my survivability which is awesome. I chose to add evil hunter because i just hate cloaking nightblades and it gives a great damage boost to my frontbar. However, replacing it with dark deal and adding ball of light to backbar is a great alternative giving huge mobility and i often choose to roll this way.

This build has really great damage and allows me to dominate in BG and cyrodiil while still being really tanky and mobile. carve gives great ultimate generation and legit dmg + dot while rending slashes and flurry are amped through the roof. the dot of dawnbreaker is buffed by deadly strikes which means little targets will survive this provided all dots have been previously applied. The only downsides is that my stam isn't so high (i have more wep dmg) and my sustain could be improved a bit; ressource management is important and dark deal needs to be used in a intelligent way.

As long as i play non-CP i will keep playing redguard because its amazing on stamsorc; weapons damage skills cost reduction is bae because thats mostly what we use. Plus, redguard give a huge boost to sustain which allows us to use much less heavy attacks, if not any. For CP campaing however, i would probably switch for Orc or Nord and use sustain on my jewellery.
