DOT class

This is a pretty simple question. What is the most DOT-heavy class? I like to change things up from time to time, and sometimes I like playing classes that rely mostly on damage over time.

All endgame builds are mostly DoT builds and every class has almost the same amount of DoTs available so it really doesn't matter.

As mentioned MagDK might be the one with the most DoTs but all builds consist of at least 3-4 DoTs anyway.

I understand all builds have DOTs, I just wanted to know which one uses the most.

Yeah, I knew stamblade used bleeds, but I'll check that one out too. NB is the only class I don't have, but I just started a new stamden, and deleted my old one (lvl 13) because it was cheaper than fixing all of the mistakes I made with him, and it wasn't hard to get that far.

I might go with the stam DK. I've always been more of a melee player. The few exceptions being D3s WD, and my magplar, which I actually use in melee for sweeps.

Magicka Templar actually has more dots if you consider channelled effects as ones (at least game does). But yeah, mDK and mTemp are both DoT heavy classes. Also, both are melee even in magicka specs.

If you can master the stamblade, mastering any other class will be breeze.

    Why?

Incap is a strong single target ult that boosts bleeds and applies major defile, limiting your opponents ability to heal through said bleeds.

MagDk is super strong melee lol. Embers Whip Fossilize Talons. Bread and butter. With all sorts of sets to ramp that damage up. Julianos Spinners Axiom Sun on and on. Try those dots with Skoria. Try Structured Entropy (yet another dot) for Major Sorcery. It’s just super fun to play.

By melee, I mean using melee abilities, not short ranged magic abilities. They conjure a whip of fire, but they aren't using weapons to do the largest portion of their attacks. Playing in melee range, and being a melee character are two different things.

I unno Julianos Sun 1 Kena 1 Balorgh with Major Sorcery up and Ele Drain on ‘em, I’m averaging 20k flame lashes 25k powerlashes halve that for Cyro. God help ‘em if it crits. I’ll take that on a spammable lol.

I’m talking PvP KILLING people not role playing “I’m a WARRIOR” hehehehe

Stamblades get surprisingly few DoTs, and, basically none of them are in-class. We're talking about things like Razer Legos or Twin Slashes.

Compare that to a stamDK where their rotation probably includes at least 7 DoTs.
