New Deadly Strike set

How good is it? Has anyone run some tests? Could potentially be reaĺly good on stamsorc or stsmknight?

✭✭✭✭✭It's simple, to become new meta set either needs to be better than Relequen or it needs to compete with one-barrable sets like AY. Deadly Strike does none of those things.
And PvP-wise most sets work well if you are good enough.4 -

Well, it's close behind. Did you test it yourself? I've got better results from DS than from BW on Stamplar even when only front-bared (Jabs get buffed by DS).It's simple, to become new meta set either needs to be better than Relequen or it needs to compete with one-barrable sets like AY. Deadly Strike does none of those things.
In my opinion it is really good. Maybe not meta, but better than many other "valid" set. I like to have some build diversity, that's why I run DS over BW on my Stamplar now (after mostly testing on Stam DK, it gave surprisingly best results on Templar).
For beginners it might be even more interesting, because it is easy to get (no grind involved), it doesn't require light attack weaving to be good (easy to use!) and it works without vma bow (as it buffs every skill on back bar by 14%, it seems in fact that when you are wearing DS vma bow + front-baring DS gives only marginal increase in dps, some were even testing losing their monster set, however, my parses without monster set were always worse than DS front-bar + Veli).Edited by vesselwiththepestle on February 28, 2019 11:37PM1000+ CP

Why would anyone use Deadly Strike on a stamblade? Most of your damage is Direct Damage. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense.
Deadly Strike is pretty solid on a stamplar, stamsorc, or stamDK. It makes going back to Maelstrom/Master DW an option as well (running 5 x Relequen, 5 x Deadly Strike, 2 x Maelstrom/Master DW), since keeping Deadly Strike active on both bars is pretty strong.3 -

Correct ... I had an old Deadly Strike gold ring laying around from PvP end of campaign rewards. All of a sudden it's worth 200k+.2 -

You have to use a particular setup to make it worthwhile on a stamsorc.
Specifically, Rapid Strikes as the spammable and either Greater Storm Atronach or Rend as the ultimate.
If you're using Rending Slashes/Crushing Weapon as a spammable or Ballista as the ulti, it just doesn't work.
However, with Rapid Strikes as a spammable and using Maelstrom DW, I've hit my highest solo stamsorc parses so far this patch using Deadly Strike. And it would actually be significantly stronger if Greater Storm Atro didn't bug out Maelstrom DW weapons. I'm forced to use Rend because Greater Storm Atro constantly consumes Cruel Flurry so it can't buff my Rending Slashes/Rearming Trap/Poison Injection.Edited by LiquidPony on March 1, 2019 10:11PM0
