New Crafting Tier and more individuality
You know that every new dungeon and chapter brings yet new gear sets. They repeat and are only slightly different from each other and you tend to use the tried and tested older gear sets anyway.
Another new dungeon set.. yawn.. Crafting stays the same..
Lets do something different in crafting and create a new tier that does not affect the current crafting levels:
I call it Attuned Sets. Basically you create basic armour/weapons from the usual attuned crafting tables with the set bonus intact. But this time you have no item bonuses. You can create/install the item bonuses yourself. I expect you need the item bonus stone and learned item traits first.
You would need to get rare attuned scrolls from various dungeons/events/quests to create the individual items of armour, and they are always gold. Never purple and no need to upgrade. Similar to how the indrik was farmed.
I am sure you can create a whole new vista of grinding with items needed to create 4 levels of armour bonuses.
If you want torug's pact for example, you would get the normal five item bonus but then you select the other four item bonuses when either crafting the set or leveling it up in some way.
Each item bonus would have different rules as to which ones you can select. But of course, getting item bonus you want may take some time.
You can tailor the set - how you want it. A tank could get rid of the spell damage bonus and replace it with something else.
But you can only wear one Attuned Set and they do not stack with the other set.
You can give the set a name of your choosing and save it. They are personal to you and no one can craft or install item bonuses for you.
This way your character never quite feels like everyone else's
