Did it went down or did not change at all.
I have read better performance in some post.
And cyrodiil is doing great even in vivec.
Can someone post their ingame ping please.

At work at the moment, I'm getting excited.

Ouch, players are saying performance has been better after patch.

    Now I'm losing the excitement.

    Wait, where do you live?

    Horrible as always :'(

Game constantly locks down for me and animations don't trigger properly, and sometimes I can't even swap bars... and all that without the PR raising too much... it's been a mess like that since Summerset for me and it hasn't changed with this last patch.

Also, for me, loading screens are even worse than they were before, for some reason.

Normal. Im getting super quick loading screens within zones or in Cyrodiil though, sometimes its so fast that I don't even realize Ive traveled lol idk if thats here to stay but its really nice. Loading screens between zones and into dungeons seem normal or just a tad longer which Im fine with. Performance seems stable but we will see how it goes on, usually after a patch its pretty good for a while. Races feel nice, Dunmers are awesome. Orcs are finally as fast as they should be. The new guild store search is amazing and having results consolidated feels like a new breath of life. Ive heard the new dungeons are awesome bu haven't tried yet. Someone was posting about how this is the thinnest DLC yet, but imo it feels like one of the best ones and Ive heard that sentiment echoed in guild chats today. It feels more like the quality vs quantity that a lot of us have been wanting.

I do feel ZOS changed its working way and did take into account some performance issue

This feels new, disturbing but also quite refreshing

Hope they keep working on it

Just keeps getting worse and worse

Yesterday afternoon (before servers taken down for patching) it was fluctuating between 267 and 300.

Now (about 26 hours later) it is between 286 and 319

Australia - Canberra NBN FTTP 50Mbps

    :(

Have you tried Mudfish? Ping from our side of the world is just unreliable and unfortunately hitting 300 can be any number of factors that would be actually impossible to figure out.

I've used Mudfish and WTFast, and they both have a sizable effect but my ping without VPNs on West Coast sits at 350 minimum so I'm not sure how it'll affect you. Before Akamai mine used to sit at 280 and I would have login issues trying to use Mudfish. The site has a trial you can use to see if it works first, so I'd try that out and see how it goes.

Pretty sure you can have it pick the node for you through basic mode. I've been using WTFast for a year so might need Vapir's thoughts on that but it should choose one for you.

Good thing I'm using my mobile and not the Satellite. That one's measured as two full seconds, which is strange, when light travels through the atmosphere faster that it travels through routers. Clearly, I'm stupid.

@uFuqinwitme - I've been playing around with Mudfish and have managed to get it set up so I get a PR fluctuating between 250 and 287 which is much better.
I remember the days when that was normal PR without using a VPN!

So what is Mudfish doing exactly? I'm guessing it's re-routing the traffic in such a way that it doesn't go through this Akamai thing I hear so much about...?

    WORST.

Plain and simple. Previous to the update was pulling 280ms-320ms MOST. Now Im playing 310-380 average MS.

They're slowly pinging us Aussies OUT OF ESO altogether.

Thats good to hear man, what did you do to get that performance? Would love to see if it has a similar effect on mine. I agree I used to get 250-290 but those days are long gone.

I think thats what it does yeah, it seems to suppress a delay when it passes onto the servers in the US, since the normal path appears to mess around in Asia before getting to the servers. I have absolutely no idea what VPNs do to counter-vent this but they do it well. Its just unfortunate that we're forced to pay for a service to return to a time before we were stuck in this vicious cycle of Zos "blaming" Akamai for the lag, Akamai "blaming" Zos and then nothing being done about it.
