I've just been reading through some of the warden concerns, and I wanted to throw in some ideas.
I personally do not believe wardens should be equal in terms of damage per second vs other classes, But I do think they should be ON PAR with them in terms of usefulness and have good utility to bring to the table that other DD classes would not.
Reworking some useless unpicked skills would be a good start:
Old: Arctic blast
Envelop yourself in winter winds, healing for 15% of Max Health instantly and an additional 10% Health over 10 seconds.
The targeted enemy is stunned for 3 seconds.
New: Biting Winds
Envelops target with Biting winds, deal x amount of damage to it and enemies within 4 meters for 10 seconds. The damage increasing over it's duration.
Old: Frozen Retreat
Summon an ancient portal, which arms after 1.5 seconds and lasts for 30 seconds.
When triggered the enemy is teleported to you, immobilized for 3 seconds, and dealt 636 Frost Damage
An ally in the portal can activate Icy escape synergy, teleporting them to you and granting them Major Expedition, increasing their Movement Speed by 30% for 8 seconds.
You can have up to 3 Frozen Retreats active at a time.
New: Frozen Prison
Summons a ward, which arms after 1.5 seconds and lasts for 30 seconds.
When triggered the Prison activates and deals XX frost damage for 8 seconds. If an enemy tries to leave the prison and are rooted for 1.5 seconds, or stunned for 1.5 seconds if affected by chill.
Also changing this passive would be a good idea since right now it only applies one skill (and one ultimate).
Old: Glacial presence
1. Increase the chance of applying Chilled to enemies with Winter's Embrace abilities by 100%
2. Increase the chance of applying Chilled to enemies with Winter's Embrace abilities by 200%
New: Glacial presence
1. Increase the chance of applying Chilled to enemies with Frost abilities by 75%
2. Increase the chance of applying Chilled to enemies with Frost abilities by 150%
Feel free to throw in your own ideas or criticise these. I strongly believe that we should not all be doing exactly the same thing (dps wise, but instead fill different roles like the MMOs of old.)
