Assassin's Guile Set

I am mostly curious to see if anyone out there uses this set in PVP, and if so, what kind of success have you had and what is your build. I've been playing around with it and have enjoyed it for the most part, pairing it with Juilanos (Or Sloads) and a random 2pc. Have a poison tick for 2k for 7 seconds (or watching a NB not be able to go back to stealth for 8 seconds) is rather amusing. Anyway, anyone else using it?

One of the attractions seems that multi-effect poisons, which normally have really short durations, become viable. I've never explored it, though.

Yeah... you get 3 effect poisons and each attribute is about 1.5 seconds long!

I mostly ask because there are a lot of people out there who are a lot better at theory crafting than I am!

I run it with 7th on a SNB Stam DK sometimes.

Specifically with the immovable poisons. You can get around 80% uptime on CC immunity.

It also can’t be purged or cleansed like other poisons. I also messed around with it back bar on a sorc.

Ah, have not tried the immovable poisons yet... might make some of those tonight.. Lots of options with this set, I think.

Before the nerf to immovable potions I was going to run it with immovable brute and the poisons.

Was going to have over 100% uptime but they nerf that before I put that build together

I’ve tested it pretty extensively on stamsorc and stamblade, with a variety of poisons and it never outperformed standard meta sets. Which is a shame because it was a lot of fun to make fiddle with all the crazy poisons you can make with 4+ seconds or guaranteed uptime.

Yeah, that is a shame. That is one of the things I like about it, so many options and easy to swap them out. Any chance you tried it out paired with the Widowmaker set?

escapist, immobilze/stam cost, defile, power increase, etc.

Depends on your build. If you use a weapon skill consistently, you really don't need this set since there are really powerful 2 mat poisons that gives like 6-10s duration effects.

it would be viable if poisons from both bar didn't share the same 10sec cooldown.

Same thing. Tried it couple days but combat logs, metrixes and recounts didn't showed anything extraordinary. Set looks fun on paper but underwhelming in reality. Add 1 or 2 more seconds to it and it might have see the day.

I didn't realize that poisons shared a cd on front and back bar. There goes new build I was theory crafting.
