Beat shield, emote or what?

Playing on Xbox. Was standing outside Undaunted Enclave in dungeon queue. Watching people duel. Saw two guys fight. After one beat the other, and as he was getting up - the winner of the duel (who was S&B) pounded on his shield with his sword, you know like "common, again". How do you do that? Looked really cool.

I whispered him and asked, but had no reply. I've looked through aaaall emotes that are listed, none of those do what. I always forget to record weird stuff I see, so I don't have it captured. No, I'm pretty sure didn't dream, and I don't use drugs. Anyone? ;-)

Sorry, wish I had an answer for you.

Ive never seen that in this game, but also am very interested to find out how its done.

This was the only emote Ive ever asked for. I thought it was pretty cool in Skyrim game when draugr would do it. Id hear the bang, bang, bang then look up and be like 'Oh yeah, its onnnnnn'

I would love for my tank in ESO to be able to do this as well.

That is the Gladiator Emote, which you get from Cyrodiil by collecting Arena Gladiator Proofs from the Conquest quest board. You get a good amount of proofs, and can buy (for now) a costume, a helmet, and that emote, with those proofs, kind of. You basically convert the proofs into a runebox with an item you buy with AP from a vendor, but if you've no proofs that item is useless to you.

Also you can buy it as runebox for gold in guild traders from other players.

The emote is different on the type of weapon you've equiped, so with sword and shield it looks like what you saw.

^ 100% right. The Gladiator emote is dynamic, it changes depending on the type of weapon equipped. I have it, and my favorite is how it looks when you're wielding a 2hander. Using a battleaxe and doing the emote looks particularly epic!!

Thank you!! Will get it, need more damn "proofs". Bought and sold the costume not long ago. :-)
