Question about gifting and rewards.

I'm very new to the game on PC, and gifting wasn't a thing when I played on Xbox.
I was just wondering, does ZOS always offer a reward for gifting to other players, in forms such as this month's pink pig pet?
I'm asking so that I know if it might be worth gifting some stuff next month after my next pay-day. Would quite like to give my mate a nice outfit anyway.

✭✭✭✭✭No, not always. It started in December with the gryphon pet, and again in February with the pig. I dont think they did one in January - or at least I can't find an article announcing it.
Its relatively new, so its hard to say how often ZOS will do it or whether its tied to actual holiday seasons.1
