Foreword
For me it's really disappointing that every profession in this game got some love except fishing.
From time to time I like to stay alone on a lake and just fishing with soft music in the background
but I can't say that i really enjoy fishing in ESO ... sadly.
So here are a few ideas I got while fishing~
Location
Fishing should be possible everywhere
*You only fish white fishes for Provisioning
Fishing in swarms (Fishing Hole)
*You have a chance to catch fishes for Achievements
Saltwater / River / Lake / Foul
*no changes
New Fishes
Epic Fishes
Every type of water on every map gets a new Epic Fish for a new achievement
*Only catchable in fishing holes
Legendary Fishes
Every Map gets a new Legendary Fish for a new achievement
*Only catchable in fishing holes
Achievements
Epic Fisher of Tamriel
Memento: Enchanted Fishing Rod
Reduces the fishing time by 50% for 10 minutes - 1 hour
Master Gatherer - The Lover CP
*Gain this achievement will change the look of your fishing rod (adding a glow/changing the appearance)
Legendary Fisher of Tamriel
Skin: Fish
You morph into a fish while swimming, swimming speed is increased by 20%
or
Water-Mount: Sea Horse
When you start swimming, you automatically call a sea horse, swimming speed is increased by 20%
Skill Line
Every time you caught a fish you get XP for this skill line.
Achievement fishes give a higher amount of XP depending on the grade.
Keen Eye - Fishing Hole (1-3): Fishing holes in the world will be easier to see when you are 20/30/40 meters or closer.
Fisher Hireling(1-3): A fisher hireling will send you fishes and possibly other items every day (include Baits, Calm Gall, Perfect Roe) etc.
*Bait Return(1-3): You have a chance of 10/20/30% that no bait will be consumed while fishing
Fillet Master(1-3): You have a 3/5/10% chance to fillet an extra fish (Plentiful Harvest - The Lover CP)
Delicious Roe(1-3): Increase the chance to fillet Perfect Roe by 0,5/1/1,5%.
Light as a feather - You are able to walk on water
*While Light as a feather is skilled, Legendary Fisher of Tamriel Morph/Mount can't be used.
Events
Double drops from resource nodes
Including [...] but does not include [...] Fishing Holes
Why!?
I do not understand why fishing is excluded. Fishing is by far the most hated profession in this game.
Execlude fishing in such events makes it even less popular. I wish this profession would get more love!

Wildbloom✭✭✭✭Fishing is by far my favorite hobby in this game, so seeing them expand on it with more achievements and even a skill tree would be fantastic. One can only hope. I don't even fish IRL any more. None of it is fun. However, I'm not saying those who love to fish shouldn't get whatever they want. -

✭✭✭✭I would like to see fishing becoming a mini game of sorts. When you hook a fish you have to move your rod depending on what the fish is doing. Trophy fish would be harder to bring in than normal fish.
Would also be fun if there was a rare chance of catching a monster. I'm thinking something similar to overland world bosses but maybe not quite as powerful. When you hook one you have to decide cut and run or fight.
