New player needed help on how to read combat metrics.

So I'm a new player on PC. Went to the pts and made a breton magblade. Did a static 3 bow rotation and then did a dynamic roto. They look the same to me, (the dynamic roto had about 4k more dps of course) but other than that and twisting path being a little higher on the list at the bottom that was about it.

What are some things that I need to look for in comparing abilities, gear, and rotation? Where can I find the uptime % on blockade, cripple, and twisting path?

Any help would be appreciated to this noob. Heres a screen shot of a parse...

Basically for damage skills you can look at the number of hits from a skill. Ground dots hit basically once per second, so you can compare the total time to the total number of hits.
