    The core problem is that the very concept of racial passives fails to make sense as it's an attempt to enforce single player game lore in a multiplayer game.

    As all fictional races in science or fantasy fiction are simply a device to explore humanity in the abstract, best stick with racial definitions in appearance and culture. Let players choose their character's race because it appeals to them for reasons other than combat capability.

    A significant chunk of players treat this game as a single player game and are here in no small part for story and lore. I don't quite follow. These players already select race for reasons other than combat capability. Hi, by the way.

    It's like they want to lose customers. I was already on the fence out of sheer disbelief that they allowed this garbage change to pass internal review in the first place. But then they wasted a whole week of PTS and failed to fix the most obvious and stupid blunder since Viper could proc off bow. I was really positive about the recent staff changes, but all confidence is gone now.

    I agree with all the negative judgment re the stupid new Altmer passive.

    That said, if instead of the stupid new passive Altmer had a straight 1-200 more magicka regen, would anybody say Altmer was too weak?

    I feel the same way. I hear by 2020 the character creator will only have one race option, Bretonnordkhajiitredguardargonianbosmerorsimerdunmeraltmerimprerial. This will be a buff to those who make poor decisions.

    To make a High Elf buff the lowest resource is plain ***. They are a magic based toon. Ppl at ZOS are beyond understanding. Ty for killing High Elf for magic builds in endgame pve. I feel sorry for all the players who decide this race. Spending hrs upon hrs build and perfecting it just to be rejected when reaching endgame and no one wants them in their teams. That's what this is going to do. Do you care ZOS?***, probably not lol.

    Ya but darkelf also has an added 1.8k (+ with how CP works now) and 2k fire resistance which is huge in both PvP and pve. It's not that highelf is bad is just doesn't offer anything better than darkelf and darkelf does everything highelf does but better

    It's very rare that you need to dodge/block/roll in PvE. As long as you know the mechanics, you can conserve stamina without issue. Your primary source of damage mitigation as a magicka character is shields. And even if you did need stamina in PvE (again, you don't), an extra 215 stamina regen wouldn't make a noticeable difference.

    This passive is 100% intended for PvP.

    Honestly I think they should add a pool of passives that every race has access to and can tap into. The PC then chooses the passives they want to use and then thats that. You want the character to be magicka oriented? Well theres particular passives for that, a great healer? theres passives for that.

    Eliminate the need for there to be a meta race and make it so regardless if youre choosing a stamina or magicka build, neither one will lean on what race you have to outdo the other.

    Correction: Magicka characters need stamina to break free and roll dodge in pvp. Altmer don't need any sort of stamina regen in their passives lol, it makes no sense. It's like them giving Redguard magicka back with Adrenaline Rush, it just shouldn't be on the race. They basically took away a known Altmer passive/utility for stam regen.

    Because of the racial passive changes, to Altmer specifically, I have started farming swords and axes and bows and gonna run a stamsorc that was a magsorc for 99% of the toons existence. Sucks that the most magiccally inclined race is more useful as a stam toon, but that is "change and adaptation".

    Even became a werewolf and already levelled that...the cheese will be for real if they go live...
