Far as I can recall, this is the first time they've specified the duration of maintenance downtime.

    Yeah 10 hours vs 4 on EU; there's payback now for longer maint on EU server before xD

    They probably have some good data for maintenance length after 5 years :)
    The long NA downtime is because of OS upgrades on servers.
    Grinding just make you go in circles.
    Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

    Are you seriously trying to improve little by little ? Nice but i would improve communication big time as it affects community the most

    They started it this year and have been doing it for a few weeks now. It was announced that they would be doing it. (except for PTS) This is the third, maybe fourth, time. I have not been counting.

    Also, did they change the NA maintenance end from 2pm ET to noon ET? I swear I read 2pm earlier this week.

    Yeah they made it 8 hours instead of 10.

    They can't kill it because there are things that they have said they will do but have no ETA for right now. Like Spellcrafting.

    Might be time to change it back. OP this is essentially the same as "No ETA".

    Looks like we exceeded the ETA in the end! Patch is already available to download, though.
