With Necromancer coming, will ZOS rework other classes?

I'm sure the devs will make certain that the Necromancer class has no worthless/bad skills, skill morphs, and passives. Do you think they'll take another look at the older classes to shore up their skills and passives too?

    Zos have reworked skills and passives in the game. Especially with underutilized or limited use skills. However, what some consider "worthless/bad skills" are used by others.

    And with such an overly generalized statement there really is nothing more to say since OP does not even mention one skill or passive.

    Regardless, expect major changes to the game during this year as they are reviewing combat as a whole. It could lead to major reformulation of combat, skills and much more. Racial passives are just the start.

    Is it controversial to say that there are bad skills or passives in the game still? People using them does not mean that they're not deficient. Anyway, I'll give an example of what I think is a bad skill. I think Radiant Aura is a bad skill because of its inefficiency. People can use Elemental Drain to much greater effect. It needs another pass. It can be improved. The Enduring Rays passives for the Templars could use another look too. It works fine for team support but for solo play it's actually making it harder to burst opponents in pvp. These are just two things that could use another look by the devs.

    They will look at classes but they won't rework them.

    What I see as quite likely is yet another reshuffling of buffs/debuffs so that Necromancer will have some exclusive ones other classes lose.

    Maybe in time, but I don't think in the near future. Many people are partial to the classes as they are now, and wouldn't be very happy about it (see: racials update). Personally I think they need some work, warden included.

    imagine it this way:

    all the class skills r put on a buffet and necromancer gets an all-u-can-eat ticket. when it is done, the other classes r allowed in to pick up the leftovers.

    so yes, all the classes will get a "rework" ;)

    With ZOS you should just be grateful when they don't touch your classes with their 'rebalancing.'

    Everything they ever try to balance usually ends up more unbalanced than when they first started, and then they spend the next few patches/years changing it back.

    They're constantly improving the classes, just take a look at Arctic Blast.

    Guarantee every class is going to get a heavy nerf when necromancers come out

    Well Warden and Necromancer have skills in their class skill tree abilities that either fit the tank, heal or dd model.

    The original 4 don't have this, for example DK or Sorc don't really have a whole skill line based for healing..

    I couldn't really say what would need to happen to make all classes have the same model as the new ones are rolling with, as taking away skills to change them into something else would *** off alot of people...

    But then adding a whole new skill line for the classes could be a thing....but that's alot of work and balance. So watch this space I guess....?

    I’m particularly worried about the early on similarities between Templar’s repentence and what seems like a similar abilty for Necros. We’ve seen Stamina DKs and Stam Sorcs pretty much tossed to the back and with a new class on the way idk that we will see any work on these classes this year.

    Only rework classes need is to have more morphs and more levels of morphs.

    In addition to that, the class restrictions should be completely lifted so everything is available to everyone. Minmaxers will find their meta and they should just stick with it as they are never happy and whatever devs do, they always find the one meta which they say must be used...

    Meanwhile with everything open, those that play for roleplaying and fun will have all the options in the world to create the character they love and can change it to completely different if they get bored with it. TES should always be one character friendly, so one does not need many to find something else to do when certain class becomes boring.

    Besides bad skills and bad choices make game much more fun to play since then you need at least some effort when in combat.. You can die in one minute ;D

    It seems more like a Necromancer skill anyway. If the NMs get a skill just like it, I will be shocked though.

    I'm glad that you are sure of this, because I'm personally terrified. Over the last several years, I have seen some skills and passives that make me wonder what the hell they were thinking.

    I'm just interested in trying out a stamancer. I don't really think of necros as a melee class.

    Of course not. Necro will be OP / Broken for like 2 - 3 moths so more PvP player will buy the new chapter. :/
